I'm a fun-loving down-to-earth guy looking to share some laughs and simple pleasures. I like camping, hiking, frisbee, traveling, beautiful views, swimming in a lake, lazy kayaking, sunsets, cooking, eating, dancing, hard puzzles, and tart orange marmalade. /0po----------------p (one of my cats just added that last bit).

Raising my wonderful 2nd grade boy, working hard at a job I love, spending quality time with treasured friends. Oh and I have 3 cats ... not sure how that happened. And 3 frogs which we've raised from itty bitty tadpoles. Sometimes the big one croaks and it always startles me. Last night two of them got together. But I digress.

Playing, engaging, listening, taking it all in. Also cooking, especially grilling, sauteeing, and frying. I can balance standing up on a log while floating down a river. I've always been uncannily talented at racquet sports. I'm also good at madlibs, building with legos, abstract math, physics intuition, and word games. I'm pretty good at spelling and editing. I'm not so good at getting to bed on time.

I have no flippin' idea - maybe you can tell me when we meet.

Books: Anything by Neal Stephenson or Jack Vance or Larry Niven, Life of Pi, 1984, Stranger in a Strange Land

Movies: Good sci-fi (The Matrix, Terminator) or comedy (Meet the Parents, Oh Brother Where Art Thou); I'll watch a drama together with you if you like.

Shows: Monk, Dexter, Weeds (got pretty weird though), The Daily Show, New Girl, and (gulp) Glee (in moderate doses)

Music: Love and Rockets, Jane's Addiction, Supreme Beings of Leisure, Tom Petty, Cocteau Twins, Sneaker Pimps, Smashing Pumpkins, Estelle, Stone Temple Pilots, and ... can't believe I'm admitting this ... Katy Perry.

Food: sushi, good home cookin'; actually pretty much all cuisines. Anything except bell peppers - weird I know.

Love, friendship, games, books, intellectual stimulation, love.

Healthy living, supporting my kiddo in becoming a wonderful person, meeting new people.

Don't know, I haven't had a typical Friday night in awhile. I'd appreciate suggestions.
