My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a design professional. I am a Christian, although I often fall short in practice. I have a quirky sense of humor. I am a very family oriented person

I have three grown daughters who are all beautiful, intelligent and talented. Of course, everybody thinks that about their children but in this case it's totally true. They have all flown in different directions from the nest so we don't get to spend as much time together as I would like but I'm glad they are happy and pursuing their dreams. I also have two boys who are still at home. Life as a single parent is always challenging but still rewarding. I even have hopes they will NOT actually kill each other although they have a lot more physical aggression than I remember from raising my girls.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Developing my career after getting a very late start. Working, trying to become a registered architect. Trying to raise my sons into godly men. I'm involved in several things at church. Life is busy and full and usually pretty satisfying.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, singing, crafts, being amusing, bitching. Maybe bitching is the wrong term. I think I was just born with the soul of an editor.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That things are a lot quieter when I am not around.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
a)Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court; Tale of Two Cities; The Scarlet Pimpernel: lots of mysteries... usually several by the same authors
b)Eraserhead; Shrek; Bedazzled (the original and the remake); there are others but movies are not that big a deal to me
c)matchbox20; donovan; beatles;...
d)I'm tired of this... picking favorites is so limiting... I like a wide variety of all kinds of things... actually I think what I would find more useful is a list of things I can't stand.... because I can take a high level of someone else's favorites in my life as long as they don't make me endure the things I truly find excruciating (like watching the indescribable horror of Steven Segal trying to act)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
my family, my friends, my church, and the grace of God.
(yes I can count... I just can't think of anything else that ranks up there with these)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
how to become a better person
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
doing laundry and playing with the kids, watching really bad old kung-fu movies, playing logic games...
Lately Friday nights are homemade pizza and a netflix movie night.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Don't tell anyone... but secretly I still think harvest gold appliances are cool.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
We have a high match percentage and\or a high friend percentage. I would say if you like intelligent conversation but that pretty much gets us into an infinite loop with the first criterion... so I guess I will leave it at that. FYI- I am not here looking for just anybody. I'm not in a huge rush... my kind are rare and hard to find but well worth the wait. (Lol, if you understand my compulsion to backspace and rewrite the previous sentence to prevent a dangling participle you're golden.)
