My self-summary Propose an edit

I'm Cas! I'm a long-haired, femme, polyamorous geek who loves cuddles (and is utterly awesome at them), late-night conversations, red wine and good coffee.

I'm happy, confident and optimistic, and I like spending time with upbeat, interesting people. I wear rainbow socks. I meditate, and train in weapons arts, especially staves. I kick your ass at philosophy.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

I moved into Cambridge last year, and I'm helplessly in love with the city and the people.

I'm to be found every other Tuesday night at The Calling, every third Wednesday at the Cambridge Poly Meet, every first Wednesday at the (new) Cambridge Bi Meet, and some Thursdays at the Carlton Arms, except the first Thursday of each month, when I'm at Digital Wonderland. Phew!

I'm really good at Propose an edit

Massage. I'm almost entirely self-taught, and I collect people with interesting muscular issues to practice on. It's something I really enjoy giving, and one day, I'd like to jack in my job and do something involving massage, counselling and maybe some other healing arts.

Cuddles. Best quote ever: "OH. (long silence...) THAT's what cuddles should be like." I win at cuddling. That is all.

I adore playing Board Games. I do tend to win. However, I very much enjoy being beaten...

Long staff. I'm a bit of a weapons nut, and 6' staff is my favourite by far.

Life. I mean, what it's all about. Really - I'm pretty sure I get it. Meditation helps with this, as does being an atheist. I know how to go through my life being happy, making other people happy and achieving things. At first glance, I know that looks hopelessly arrogant, but, seriously. It's not that hard!

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit

The fact that I'm 6'3 and have hair almost down to my waist. The fact that I'm usually smiling, and that I have a bounce in my step when I walk. The look in my eyes. That I'm quite androgynous.

People repeatedly tell that I seem to give off a deep sense of calm. What, sane and resident in Cambridge? You jest. Actually, though, I pride myself on it. I'm very happy with being sorted!

My current favourite groups are Seabound (electronic, gothy), Azure Ray (ethereal, dreamy pop) and Soilwork (metal). I'm also a big fan of Imogen Heap, Aimee Mann, Tori Amos, The Orb, and anything which goes both "bleep" and "thump". But I'm open-minded, and I'll listen to anything if it comes with a good recommendation. Music is still quite a new discovery for me, and I'm still learning - I'd hate to have learned it all.

I cook awesome curries and a mean steak. I enjoy dim sum, pan-Asian food, good French cooking and bangers and mash. Red wine > white wine, because I don't know how to buy good white wine. *grin* [EDIT: White burgandy for the win. And for the bankruptcy.]

I like vanilla, but I also do kink. If you class topping and subbing as forms of "giving", and bottoming and domming as "receiving" (as I do), then I enjoy topping, love subbing, have fun bottoming from time to time and have an urge to dom every now and again, but one I don't often indulge. ;)

1. I just like getting messages and chatting to new people, so if you'd like to talk about one of the interests I've listed on my profile, then conversation is good, and doesn't have to have anything to do with hooking up. :)

2. I'm interested in meeting and possibly dating people who live nearby or are distant, because dates are fun, and cute people are fun, and it's nice to know that when I'm in London, or when someone from Manchester is in Cambridge, there's a chance to meet up, have one of our occasional dates, catch up with things and possibly share a bed. However, I'm unlikely to end up in a serious Relationship with anyone who doesn't live in Cambridge.

3. I'm possibly interested in meeting someone for a longer-term relationship in Cambridge. I don't know. I think that, if this happens, it would be the kind of thing that happens naturally - from dating / hanging out, rather than "Oh, hello. Let's form a Relationship!"

Be aware that I'm polyamorous, which means that I have multiple, consensual relationships in which nobody is kept in the dark or cheated on; and I'm happy for my partners to have the same. If this is a problem for you, then you don't want to date me, and I probably don't want to date you. :)
