I am kind, inquisitive, and adventurous.
My Self-Summary
hmmm. I really enjoy learning about the world..I've traveled to
many countries, and really value those experiences. I also
appreciate living in California and all the beauty that's close to
home.
I believe that I'm a very adaptable person. I can easily get along
with all types of people, and I enjoy getting to know others. I
feel like an old soul, in that I'm very connected to the past and
attracted to 'antique-y' things. I love antiques, old music, and
interesting old architecture.
I think that generally, I'm very kind and loving and try to
maintain a sense of peace in all my relationships. I'm definately
not interested in drama.
Friends say that I'm whitty and funny, which is either true... or
my friends have a lame sense of humor.
What I’m doing with my life
I just ran my first 1/2 marathon a few days ago! I'm very proud of
this accomplishement as before it, the longest I'd run was maybe
1-2 miles. My time was 2 hours and 2 minutes!
As for my job, I'm a School Psychologist. This is my first year on
the job. I work at a middle and elementary school. The past three
years were spent in a School Psychology Masters program. This first
year of work is overwhelming at times, but mostly going very
well!
Other things that I like to do with my life include; camping,
hiking, going to delicious restaurants with friends, seeing music,
seeing art shows, listening to records, swimming in rivers, and
exploring small gold rush towns in California.
I’m really good at
Well running, I guess. I'm also good at horse-back riding and have
done so on-and-off since I was in high school. I'm also good at
traveling with people....I'm mellow and have been told that I'm a
good traveling companion.
The first things people usually notice about me
maybe my height, large eyes? I think that people also notice that
I'm a very friendly and engaging person.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books:
The Prophet by Kahil Gibran
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
anything by Truman Capote
The Penal Colony & Metamorphosis by Kafka
Celestial Navigation by Anne Tyler
How to Practice by the Dalai Lama
there's definately others that may be more important to me....but
those are easily visable on my bookshelf
movies:
I love documentaries and silly campy comadies. I'm not sure what my
favorite movie is...
I liked 'The waitress' "virgin suicides' ....

The six things I could never do without

apples
I spend a lot of time thinking about
the future and the past, how my life is going, what upcomming plans
I have with friends, my job and all the children and families who
I'm serving through my job.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends, going to a concert or art opening. Or, I'm at
home relaxing, because my running group meets at 9:30 am on
Saturday morning.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I lost my mother 3 years ago. It was the hardest experience and so
life-changing. I have come out of it stronger, and with a renewed
appreciation for all the minutes that I am able to spend with loved
ones.
You should message me if
You are an intelligent, trustworthy and no-drama kind of person
(cute would help too!). I am interested in meeting someone who has
alot going on in their life.....someone stable who is passionate
about things and who enjoys life.
