I have a full-time job, a car, and a house. I understand
responsibility and pay my bills on time.
Work-wise, I've been with the same company for 14 years. I used to
joke that it was my longest relationship, but that's not
After work is spent with friends. Or at home relaxing. Or out and
about. I tend to do a lot of walking. Sometimes with a destination.
Often without one, but never aimlessly. More recently I'm at the
gym: yoga, core class, Pilates, booty luv, tough ballerinas,
walking, running... and hula hooping. Because it's hard to feel
grouchy when you're rockin' the hoop. My goal is to be one of those
surprisingly spry old ladies you see out and about. My thought is
that you don't just suddenly wake up 80 years old and all active
after spending the last 60+ years on the couch.
I've been working on my old house for 10 years now. I've come to
understand that it will never be completely done, but at least
people no longer look at me with pity as they walk through the
front door. Favorite project: replaced The Sliding Glass Door of
Death with Super Friendly French doors last fall. Best.
Expenditure. Ever. Say what you will about the French. They've won
me over with their doors, toast, and kissing. But what of the
fries, you ask? Trumped, by the far superior tots!
And I'd love to travel more than I do.
