My Self-Summary

No more glasses! I am LASIKed as of July 2009.

Back to regularly scheduled programming: So, I know this profile has gotten very long (much has been added, and there's always more that could be said), but if you bear with it and at least skim through it, you might find exactly the information you are looking for.

I am geeky, and a creator of many things. I am a lot of things, and sometimes confusing things all at once. I am laid back in general, and very particular in my ways and home. I am a shy, unremarkable appearing woman who has a strong warrior spirit and is submissive in the bedroom only. I have tried to put as much here as I can to show myself, but I feel the only way to really know someone is to spend time with them in day to day life, until you are aware of who they are.

I love finding new things to do and try. Always looking for something entertaining. I enjoy wide ranges of life, and wide ranges of personal style from time to time. I think it would be fun to dress goth and visit a goth club for a night, or to dress "cowboy" and hit a country themed bar for a night.

Kinda going through the experimental, willing to try almost anything stage of life, I suppose. I love snowmobiling, and I would love to learn to ride a motorcycle, get an ATV, and a wave runner. I seem to have a thing for racing. I would also like to go hang gliding, and learn to fly small planes and helicopters. I've also always wanted to learn to ride horses, and I intend to work on some more martial arts stuff when I have time to learn (I've only done a little aikido so far). Obviously, I want to do way more than I have money to fund, but I hope I get to do this stuff some day. >^_^<

Interests: Far too varied to really get into here, but briefly, I enjoy work involving computers, especially digital graphics and web design, I love music - all kinds, I prefer action, sci-fi, and horror movies, especially vampire movies, bad horror movies, and zombie movies, preferred reading materials are pagan spirituality subjects, Greek mythology, and Anne Rice novels (so I have a thing for vampires, ok). I love Halloween, and making costumes, and creating things, pretty much anything, I love projects. I like artwork, especially drawing and sculpting, and photography. I love cats, and I believe they are mystical in their own right- connections between the human and the divine; I have a special appreciation for the goddess Bast, though I've not considered myself a true follower of Bast. My favorite sports are hockey and football. I love snowmobiling and would love to get one and an ATV. I also like anime and pretty things from Japan. I like making candles and mixing my own herbal teas (though I drink a lot of regular and green tea for the caffeine intake), and am starting to enjoy home brewing as another hobby. I have certification in bartending (yay!), though I'm not very well practiced- my social occasions with drinking only come up a few times a year, and not many involve making mixed drinks. I enjoy cooking only when I'm in the mood for it, but I always like good food. I've recently gotten into bento lunch making as a great hobby for small, cute boxes of cute/pretty food. >^_^< I also love medieval / Ren Faire fun, and love being involved with the SCA, the Society for Creative Anachronism, where I can make and wear medieval garb (clothes), camp, drink mead or cordials, make needed things (like knife sheaths and other leather goods), listen to bards at the fires, do archery, axe throwing, and explore new activities like bellydancing. Recently I have become more and more fascinated by steampunk styles, and have been really wanting to work on some steampunk projects.

What I’m doing with my life

Currently out of college, working as an Administrative Assistant/Computer Person/Data Manager type. Will hopefully get to go back to finish my New Media major at some point. I've been making web pages and editing graphics on my own for years. I love computer work, I collect far too many things, and I'm always interested in new subjects adding to my spiritual growth in solitary eclectic paganism.

I used to head off to aikido classes, archery, and fencing on various evenings. At the moment, I spend time with the local campus Pagan Organization, and get my medieval combat fix with the local Society for Medieval Arts and Combat boffer larp (making the weapons was great, and yay for combat that doesn't need heavy armor!).

I'm looking forward to making contact with the local SCA (the Society for Creative Anachronism, the REAL medieval group to fight, camp and drink with!) as soon as events are available, I miss it from from my old home in Maine. Other than that, I spend my free time reading and studying personal interests, working on my projects, playing online, and watching movies with friends. Depending on the time of year, I may be working on a detailed costume.

I spend a lot of time taking care of my fish and plants. I desperately miss having a good cat, and I hope I don't have to wait too many more years to live in a cat-friendly environment and find a good kitty companion. Other than that, I spend a lot of time being exhausted from work and home duties.

I’m really good at

I'm very good with internet-related computer work, and pretty good with digital imaging. I'm pretty good with artwork and projects of all kinds, including costuming - I can work with just about any medium to get the results I'm after.

The first things people usually notice about me

Shyness with new people? I'm not really sure what would get noticed. I suppose I'll have to start asking people I know about that.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Greek Mythology, other ancient mythologies, pagan spirituality and awareness materials, stories by Stephen King, Watership Down, Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles, Neil Gaiman's Sandman graphic novels.

Movies: Many, and of various genres. Interview with the Vampire, Hocus Pocus, Labyrinth, Legend, Princess Bride, Jackie Chan movies, The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Evil Dead, Army of Darkness, zombie movies and bad horror movies, and some cult classics (Woo, Rocky Horror! And if you've never heard of it, go look for Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter).

Music: Almost anything, I love all kinds of music! - Abney Park, Gaelic Storm, Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Young Dubliners, Blackmore's Night, Loreena McKennitt, Zox, Paranoid Social Club, Reel Big Fish, Ian Van Dahl, Lasgo, ATC, Rollergirl, Cascada, Inkubus Sukkubus, Medieval Babes, David Bowie, The Doors, The Killers, Nickelback, Seether, Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Velvet Revolver, Shinedown, Hinder, Our Lady Peace, Evanescence, Disturbed, System of a Down, Billy Idol's Cyberpunk album, Journey, Grass Roots, Cream, Hendrix, too damn many others from the 60s to now, especially 80s. Just about anything, for whatever mood I'm in. Generally not rap or country, but even those genres have a few decent songs. I also love the odd yet beautiful songs that come along once in a while, like "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Money in My Hand" by Primitive Radio Gods, "Counting Blue Cars" by Dishwalla, "Pepper" by Butthole Surfers, etc.

Food: sushi, Japanese food, Thai food, some Indian food, some medieval food, fish/seafood (except for lobsters, they're just giant water bugs, bleh). I love good, unusual foods.

TV: Heroes, Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (the internet series by Joss Whedon), Buffy, Angel, Charmed, Hercules, Xena, Firefly, Star Trek (most series), LEXX, Six Feet Under, Nip Tuck, CSI, Conan O'Brien, Reno 911, Sealab 2021, Frisky Dingo, etc, etc. Most things fantasy/sci-fi or set in ancient times or just twisted/funny and cool.

The six things I could never do without

*music to stir the emotions and inspire the soul *strong romantic love and cuddling *creativity and my personal projects, studying, and pursuits *cats *good and unusual foods *favorite technological gadgets, and internet maybe..

I spend a lot of time thinking about

All kinds of stuff, weird/random things, and love that only seems possible in stories [and how close I was once].

I think I may be a hopeless romantic. Whatever it is that I am, I love old love songs of passion, need and happiness (and techno filled with the love of love and life - odd combo?), and I am searching for my second chance at "romantic, passionate, nothing bad matters because we're so happy together and of course we'll get through it in time and get everything we want, together we're happy all the time" kind of love. At the same time, I have spent nearly 10 years of my life in a few long-term relationships that failed, and I'm fairly tired of them. I feel that I'll never know how many people I never met because I was unavailable, and I may have missed my real shot somewhere in the mix. My goals at the present are to throw myself into the single lifestyle, and remain open and available until I find someone with which there is no question that they are it, if such a thing is possible.

Also, I love learning, so I spend a lot of time thinking about many, many odd things that need looking up. There's always something to think about.

On a typical Friday night I am

If not hanging out with friends, then sitting at home with the computer or TV/movies- often while working on a project- usually, or maybe a good book. If I really have nothing to do, I might get into my stack of PS2 games which rarely get used, or play a game on the computer.

(I seem to fit in well with gamers, but I don't often play games, I just have too many things I want to do, and too many of which never seem to get done. Also, while I enjoy gamers and games, I will get tired of watching someone else spend too much more time staring at a computer screen than cuddling with me. :P)

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

3 things, I suppose.

I have in the past lost my sanity by lack of sleep- late night madness has resulted in me scanning myself and emailing the picture for a bet. Craziness in life will bring you much joy. :)

I have a very dual nature. I never seem to fit in very well anywhere simply because it seems I could fit in just about anywhere. I have a hard time getting close to anything or anyone because I love almost everything.

And last, I have been missing college very much, and I regret that I allowed personal trauma and financial complications to throw off the track of my education, and it's beginning to become quite an embarrassment. I like to hang out with grad students, and I value intelligence. I prefer people who can type well. I get very agitated reading a profile that is overloaded with lowercase letters, typos, run-on sentences, missing apostrophes, and confusing mashed together statements. I hate profiles like that, as I feel I am not connecting with an intelligent individual when facing such a poor typing style. In any case, more and more now I wish I had the credentials of further education to offer to those who might find my profiles so they might be more likely to consider me. Hell, it'd probably be nice for jobs too, though I do like my current job.

You should message me if
