I find it very difficult to summarize myself. I'm generally easy to be with. I see a lot of art. And actually for me, art is kind of the center and everything spins out from there.

I moved to New York in 1987 and have been in Manhattan pretty much ever since. I've been to the end of almost every subway line once. I love being out of the city but feel a need to be here for now. Although I do have a vision of living in view of the ocean. Visits to nearby nature are a good thing.

I'd love to grow an herb garden and make things out of scrap, recycled materials. Learn about composting. But I seem to be pretty busy with other things. Like most people, I'd like to do more traveling. I'd go back to Berlin in a minute. Hope to make the drive along the California coast one day.

I am an editor and writer at an art mag. Have to see all the galleries and there are a lot in this town. I'm doing a lot of reading and writing lately. I'm interested in artists who are engaged with environmental issues and social/political experiments. This summer I wrote about some artists doing urban farming experiments and got pretty excited about that. Decided to become one myself but don't have a very green thumb.

I also work on a lefty/art journal and have a spot in front of the video camera. Gallery Beat it's called.
