My Self-Summary

Hello, stranger! (:

to start with, I'm just a student from the Eastern Europe >_< extremely interested in photography and art overall. people say I'm a mixed person, since I'm someone with a typical spanish name, Lithuanian (once again: the Baltic region, Eastern Europe) citizenship and kinda Scandinavian looks (especially when I had this blond hair which I've finally decided to get rid of by going brunette \o/).

***

now I live in my own suitcase. having laid out the things most necessary for every day - miniature furniture and book shelves with my own Discours de la methode, with my own Sein und Zeit, with my own nearly worn out masks - and without cessasion I cart myself on planes and trains (occasionally send myself through the mail), trying to find a place in being and time. now I call myself Killalusimeno.

by the way, please, find the time to take my very first test on okcupid! which is, in fact, one of the Style contest winners:

and a recently improved version of it:

Thank you (:

What I’m doing with my life

I study the industry of publishing >_< therefore I've been reading loads of fiction recently. at the moment, I'm mostly focused on fiction that helps me with finding out more about the American tradition in literature.

I’m really good at

of course, I don't consider myself an expert, but anyhow, I'm into the following: sports (specifically - basketball), playing a guitar, dancing, cooking (anyhow, I live alone, therefore I prefer to eat out whenever it's possible, because cooking for myself only seems a waste of time to me), video games, mmorpgs, photography, geography, history, literature, nail painting;O

The first things people usually notice about me

dunno, guess they notice my height at first, since I'm pretty tall for a girl. especially when I'm in high heels, which makes me impossible not to notice ^_^ not sure about the personality thingy, probably others are way more adequate to say what they notice about me. besides, I never enjoyed talkin a lot about myself and I don't really like people who do so ^.^ However, I don't mind listening to what others are willing to share with me, it just can be too much sometimes.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

oh well, my favorite author definitely is A.Baricco, read all of his books and enjoyed them a lot *_* However, he's not the only one that I like. the thing is that I really spend much time reading books and there's a tremendously long list of favorites >_< but as well there's something I totally can't stand.. advice books. writing such books is one thing, but reading them is another, which I find ridiculous and absolutely indefensible. sometimes I read the same novel twice, because I started reading V.Hugo, Stendhal, Camus and such when I was about 12. therefore, as an adult I find it necessary to read those books once again, just to make sure that the impression is the same. some books, I presume, are worth reading at least once every 10 years. I think it's fascinating how time makes you attach significance to something else and perceive things in a totally different way, while reading the same book.

now reading: M. McLuhan, Understanding Media: Extensions of Man.

some of the movies I really enjoyed: perfume, Goya's ghosts, closer, the fountain, babel, feast of love, we were soldiers, the lost city, Cidade de Deus, all the invisible children, the pursuit of happiness, girl interrupted, the assassination of Richard Nixon etc.

basically, I don't mind listening to various kinds of music, but in general I give preference to the following: latino, oldies, rock/punk rock, hip-hop/rap, rnb, lounge, jazz.

I like italian food >_< but mostly I eat anything healthy. oh, and I love chicken >: D

The six things I could never do without

I couldn't do without many things actually *_* to start with.. ehm.. my laptop ;O what else >_< oh, the internet, of course. my camera, a cellphone.. also as a girly girl I couldn't do without cosmetics, perfume, trendy clothes;O oh well, actually I could. it's just that I would find my life slightly miserable without those things, but I'm sure I would get used to it if I had to : )

I spend a lot of time thinking about

hmm, guess I'm not telling you xP since that's usually way too personal to reveal on a public profile. however, sometimes I really wish I could think less about so many things, even though I find them relevant.

On a typical Friday night I am

clubbin, probably ;O or just chillin out somewhere with my friends ^_^

EDIT: yeah, used to do that time ago, but not anymore, since I'm trying to focus on my studies at the moment. that's the main goal for now.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I would never message someone first, nor would I start a conversation. it's not that I am too shy, not self-confident enough or the opposite - self-centered, thinking that others ought to contact me in some way. sometimes I feel jealous of men who, in my opinion, have the prerogative of making a choice. of course, they may get rejected in return, but there are so many things a rejected man can do to captivate a woman.

however, I'm not trying to say that women are bad conversation starters or that it's an improper thing for a woman to do in general. there are plenty of pick up lines for both genders. I just don't see myself using them (or not) trying to approach some guy, whatever the situation.

You should message me if

simply if you want to message me for any reason >_< however, it doesn't mean that I oblige myself to respond to all incoming messages regardless of personal circumstances. to be honest, I believe that my responsiveness is kinda low, because basically I'm here for the tests and, what's more, when it comes to socializing I tend to attach importance to almost everything, concerning both: personality and looks (I do believe that your outfit tells a lot about you as a person, unless you were forced to wear smth). and yes, the first impression thingy really matters a lot to me, I'm not going to deny that. anyhow, I don't think that my forthrightness makes me a bitch, but it's up to you.

ideally, I'd like to interact with someone older than me, exceptions are possible though.

sorry about that, but I'm going to keep my IM off >_< for an obvious reason: I simply can't focus on both instant and normal messages at the same time.

oh, yes, and if it happens that I don't respond once, apparently it won't make me respond if you ignore this fact and keep messaging me after >: P

don't message me if you think that Europe is a country where people live in caves and have no cable TV, if you believe that Romanians have never heard anything about burgers (I think it's stupid to spread smth worldwide and to claim that someone still hasn't heard of it after), if you think that you can't go scuba-diving in Africa, because at school they tought you that Africa actually is a huge desert : ] oh, and the most important thing: don't message me if you imagine Lithuania as a town somewhere in Russia.
