I am Chococat, Curious, and Passionate.
My Self-Summary
I moved to Bologna from Los Angeles last year to attend veterinary
school. Just like the trauma of a displaced animal, i had my share
of acceptance and adjustments to make from the comfy life i've had
here in the US. I lived in 4 continents. Started and captained my
own soccer team to victory (which is not easy for an octopus like
me). I worked in the film industry in LA and overseas. Studied
multiple disciplines for at least a year, worked as an analyst in
medical research before i felt enough sun on my wings to fly with a
purpose... My curiosity is vast and it gets the better of me (till
i get satisfied...or...burned). although with time you become an
experienced cat and you know that prayer only works while you are
moving your feet. i don't fit any particular mold, and i wake up
everyday on the brink of war between toying with life, and thinking
seriously about the meaning of it all. I get restless sometimes, i
eat chocolate often (no it does not cause pimples!). i am happy to
be on my career track. i enjoy simple things. my mind may be absent
at times while i am dwelling in my imagination. capture my
imagination and you'll have access to things you didn't perceive.
What I’m doing with my life
A student of veterinary at Bologna (Italy). In my down time, and
given the means, i like to travel, read, scuba dive, learn
photography, cook, play tennis, and sometimes just chill! Not much
of the bar or night club hopper. I am fun in my own ways, and i do
prefer low key events to hype.
I've interned in Sacramento this past summer and it opened new
doors for my career. I love what i do (Other than slapping dogs out
of anesthesia and hypnotizing cats for medication)...but i cannot
skip the exams. I can skip many lectures however and this means
that i will be going back and forth often. I do intend to spend as
much time as possible in sacramento and i am working on making that
possible starting february of 2010 if i don't catch any italian
rabbies.
I do have some down time which I spend studying and snooping
around, I do like to make new friends who can share a good time, go
to places, and add a flavor or two to this recipe we call life.
I’m really good at
Arguing! I make a great lawyer!
Ironing...Ironically of course.
Claiming any claimed and unclaimed chocolate.
Sleeping like a bear, hunting like a tiger, screaming like a mad
mafioso, and crying like a bambino that just did it in his
diaperzzzzz!
It's all true except the last one. I do cry however...but only when
cutting onions!
The first things people usually notice about me
That i exist? because i sometimes forget that i do until someone
says hi!
What people see depends on what they look for. You'd be surprised
what you pickup if you meet things with a fresh perspective.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I like progressive trance, acoustic guitar, flamenco, lounge, some
ethnic, some rock, some pop, some rap, and silence!
Some of my favorite movies are: Heat, Shawshank Redemption, Gran
Torino, Black cat white cat, paradise now, le tigre e la neve, yes
man, chocolat, Angela, children of heaven, guy ritchie movies
...and generally independent and foreign films
Like Mediterranean, arabic/persian, and Asian Fusion cuisine.
Grilled meats and potatoes are fine. Seafood is my favorite and
nothing beast a well seasoned burger.
The six things I could never do without
Chocolate
Lung Action, a release
A good laugh
The human touch
A challenge
Imagination
I spend a lot of time thinking about
mind-reading cats...they are just so impossible to figure
out!
i also ruminate about bridging my life cross continents and the
next episode of hard work, stability, and happiness.
On a typical Friday night I am
Kicking it at my balcony reading on various things...with a glass
of wine. but that's when i am in italy. here...no wine, no balcony,
just mending the weekly wounds i have accumulated from those mean
chihuahuas in practice.
Inviting friends over while trying some recipe.
Chatting over a drink/dinner somewhere.
Watching paint dry.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
That your life is more valuable than knowning the color of my
underwear?
It takes time to get to know me, I am shy at heart (although i
might not show it) and my emotional side is buried but rich and
sweet.
You should message me if
You understand that perfection doesn't exist. and that addiction to
online dating is similar to the gambling syndrome. Tchatchings give
you a temp high only! yes i know you agree.
But more importantly, that something that lasts starts in the head
and finds its way to the heart for me.
You are genuinely curious and the idea of a cultured man doesn't
make you run for your cowboy boots. Yipiyayo no more! and loving
pasta doesn't make you Italian either!
You are an intuitive and nurturing person that eyes fun but is also
seeking something serious in this life. Intelligence is a big turn
on for me. You prime yourself on understanding, and learning. And
you care to initiate and reciprocate with zest as part of
developing a passionate chemical bond.
You and bridgett Jones have different concepts of love? and your
fight/flight mode isn't stuck on the on position. =P
