My name is Lee Ann, and I am definitely NOT looking for a long term relationship. Maybe down the road, my needs and wants will change, but for now, I just want to meet people, go on dates, and generally have fun and have new experiences in life. I'm not so much interested in physical attributes as much as how passionate about life you are. I consider myself average to attractive looking, and although I am a few pounds overweight, I am tall enough to pull it off; plus I am very active and have a fascinating personality (did I mention I'm humble:O)?

I am a spiritual (NOT Religious) person. I am blessed to have Spirit (God) as a personal comforter, advisor, and best friend.

There are a lot of things I enjoy, walking being one of the first things that come to mind. In the past, I enjoyed walking anywhere and everywhere. Then my legs started giving me problems, and I had to give up one of my favorite passions for over two years. Now, after two knee replacements, I am back to striding all over Mobile. I never fail to give thanks every time I lace up my walking shoes that I am able to participate in this wonderful past time.

I also enjoy camping, going to the beach (especially in the winter time), hiking, and bike riding. I love pretty much anything that can be enjoyed outside.

I love going out to eat, especially to places I've never been. I am a fanatic about trying new places to eat, with all different kinds of food. I love going to the theatre, and any kind of play is fine with me. I am really fond of going to concerts and movies, also.

My first passion, which I purposely listed last as an attention grabber, is the care of animals. I was a veterinary assistant for a lot of years, and I love every aspect of caring for animals (well, not SO crazy about scooping poop, but it's all part of the animal world:O). My special passion that makes my heart sing is to be with cats; large, small, sick, well, deformed, feral, it doesn't matter - I love 'em all and cannot get enough of being with them.

Speaking of singing, I have been told I have a lovely singing voice, which is why singing and music are two more of my passions. I have been known to do really well at karaoke bars, and I sing every Sunday at my church.

Living it to the fullest!!! I have had a few close calls medically and now that I am a lot better, I realize that life is NOT to be plugged through, working miserably toward the end of it, but danced through to the music of what your heart sings to you.

Pulling myself up and grabbing life by the tail, swinging it around and draining it dry of every drop of passion, health, and beauty that I can wring out of it!!!
I'm also a writer of poems, but can't seem to do it all the time. Once in a while, I'll be meditating, on a walk, or even in the tub, and words (and sometimes tunes) will come to me so strongly that I will be compelled to stop what I'm doing and put them on paper! Other times, when I'd really like to write, absolutely nothing will come! I guess Spirit flows when Spirit is ready to flow, and hopefully, I will always be open to the rush of Love in words that I get from the Universe.
I am also able to diffuse volatile situations. God has blessed me with a calm demeanor in this time of my life. I haven't always been this way, and can remember how I felt during extreme arguments and periods of anger and disappointment. For that reason, I am able to "read" how someone may be feeling, and can usually head off bad circumstances before anything gets that far. Those times that things do get out of hand, I am usually able to walk away rather than get involved in drama.

Books: Anything by Nicholas Sparks, Patricia Cornwell, biographies, and my all time favorite is "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn." I also love to go to the "New Arrivals" section of the library, and load up on books:O)

Music: Anything - being a musician myself (I sing and play saxophone), I admire and respect anyone who participates in the arts. I may not agree with some of the methods used, but I would never stand in the way of artistic expression. My personal favorites to sing and/or listen to are country and southern rock.

Foods: I have never met a food I didn't like!!!! Love to try new foods and I enjoy learning about the cultures from which they come.

Animals (Especially CATS)

Spiritual Inspiration/Music (I put these two together because I think they go hand in hand. Even though a lot of poems/songs I write aren't necessarily spiritual in nature, I still feel that without the input of God, no music, indeed no art form at all, would ever be created).

You are secure in your own self. You don't need an "other half" to make you complete. You enjoy good friendships, and you savor life itself. You are an animal (particularly cat) fancier. Finally, you aren't looking for a beauty queen but a good ol' gal transplanted from Texas to Alabama (and willing to travel just about anywhere!) that knows what real life is all about!!!
