My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born in Laramie Wyoming and grew in Minneapolis. I can find my way through the mountain woods and the city streets without a map. It's the middle ground that that I get lost. Strip malls and chain stores ware me out... Ironically, I work in Eagan.... but I love my job and the people I work with. I make high end history and natural history exhibits for museums and visitor centers all around the country. Well, somebody has to!

I love the city and I love a city with lakes, parks, a river, good food and music and more. A combination of chaos and quiet is a necessary balance.

I'm always looking to joke around, talk and listen about the interesting and hilarious things that happen to us. Add some good food, music, beer, or wine.... Life is good!

Thanks to my dog, I enjoy a good walk along the creek twice a day. Though, the walks before work are a little harsh at first, but Lucy's enthusiasm and the silent streets make for a great start for the day.

I've traveled a lot for my career and I make my way to the mountains almost every year. However, I've not made it to another country in a while and that needs to change! I absolutely love traveling off the beaten path. The fewer fellow tourist the better!

I am one, two, and three
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I actually paint and sculpt for a living. It's a weird way to make my way but I love it!

I'm bringing back the lost art of old school natural history dioramas. How nerdy is that! Well.... as I said, someone has to do it?

I work with some of my best friends and they are fantastically talented. I love my job and it consumes too much of my life.... So, That's one reason why I'm here... More bike rides, walks, dinners and traveling adventures are needed. I'm looking for some more friends with OUT benefits and a best friend with benefits, adventures, snuggling and more....

Love is friendship set on fire.

I adopted a rescue dog last summer. Lucy is a fantastic dog! She's nothing like I was looking for but I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world. She came from a wild pack of dogs outside of Kansas city. It's been a lot of work but she's getting used to life with people in the city and she is doing great! Unless you are rabbit or a squirrel, She's a great nap buddy!

A friend and I are fixing up a thirty year old racing bike and fitting it with a dog leash attachment so I can wear out Lucy on rides along minnehaha creek this summer. Good times!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Painting and sculpting, looking at the big picture, getting along with the furry animals, finding awkward situations funny.

I'm smart enough to know that I can be an idiot sometimes, I'm clever enough to get myself out of trouble at the last minute and I have enough wit to entertain most folks. However, It's no secret that I suck at spelling and grammar. It's not for lack of effort, it's just my brain isn't wired for it. I'm sorry... I can more than compensate for such deficiencies in other ways.

That I look WAY younger than I am.

Yeah, I'm short too, but I don't notice people noticing that.

I tend to get my narrative fix via films due to that visual orientation thing. So generally my reading is along the lines of gaining information on politics or natural history. I like to read stories of how things work.

The New Yorker, Discovery Magazine, The Smithsonian, National Geo, Art blogs, Political blogs, Monkeyluv by Robert Sapolsky, The print works of Yoshida Hiroshi.

Music? Yes Please! Movies? Pedro Almodvar, The Coen brothers, Robert Altman, Hayao Miyazaki, Quentin Tarantino, Akira Kurosawa. Stanley Kubrick, Jean-Pierre Jeunet.

Food? I may be a picky eater but I'll try any restaurant or food once or twice... ok, three times.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
The next project, my dog, my family, my friends, silly things
Mountains, cities and all those out of the way places in-between.

Wait.. That's more than six?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How things work or don't work. The current project, how to break it down into parts so that we can make the deadline.

I read a lot of news... I have a love/hate relationship with politics. I guess I'm fascinated and disgusted by how and why people are so eager to walk on the backs of others for power.

I love natural history, art, A good long walk with my dog, The mountains and the prairie and places I've not yet seen.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My profile name is lame. (that's not really private)

I don't have the ability to remember names.

I still miss my twenty one year old cat.

I'll watch the occasional reality TV show.

I'm terrified of needles.
