music - this is all over the board... I love music, sometimes I
play certain things to match my mood, sometimes it's to help shift
my mood/energy. It's weird to pin it down.. recent listening
includes: lee fields, miles davis, the black keys, daft punk, ella,
ray charles, james brown, mos def, the roots, charles bradley,
sharon jones, bach cello concertos, stevie, clifford brown, it goes
on and on...
shows (i want to do more of this!):
saw some fun things at bumpershoot this year, patton oswalt was my
favorite, allen stone, mgmt, other recent shows include lee fields,
charles bradley, and the seattle symphony
food - yes, please
generally healthy stuff, but i have a sweet tooth and like to bake
cookies, and ice cream is pretty yummy...
sushi, thai, mexican (azteca doesn't count), italian (garlic...
yummmm), ethiopian, korean bbq, yummy. the list goes on, i tend to
like food with some flavor, some punch, and i make a mean french
not much of a tv watcher... more of this comes via netflix. 30 rock
and arrested development, the british office, funny stuff, not
really dedicated to any series.
movies - lots here as well
i was working on a documentary, so i had been watching a pile of
those as research. more than a game, word wars, being elmo, revenge
of the electric car, racing dreams, senna. i enjoy movies from all
over the place, moonrise kingdom was fun, rushmore is a classic,
the dark knight trilogy, Napoleon dynamite, girl with the dragon
tattoo (enjoyed both versions, the fincher one is
i remember seeing the blues brothers when i was little, that fueled
my love for soul/r&b, and car chases...
not really into the slasher/horrow movies, i like thrillers, saw
the game recently, that was pretty good. anime, the matrix, classic
hitchcock (rear window and rope are 2 of my favorites)
i enjoy stand up comedy (usually via netflix), eddie izzard, patton
oswalt, david cross, jim gaffigan, kathleen magian, louis c.k.,
books - okay, i admit it, i tend to "read" many more audiobooks
than the ones made outta trees that don't read themselves to me
while i'm working out, hanging out, falling asleep, or driving.
recent ones include "the power of now" and "a new earth" and i'll
admit to the whole pile of harry potter books. Tina Fey's "Bossy
Pants" is hilarious, and SHE reads the audiobook, she was my
companion on my road trip to Yellowstone. Reading lots with my 9yr
old son, finished the "Narnia" series. Reading tolkein now, "the
hobbit," "lord of the rings," which is my first time reading those,
fun, can be long!!! do hiking/biking/camping guides count??
