I am smart, fun, and 2 legit 2 quit.
My Self-Summary
I'm a busy but easy-going guy with a good job and a great family. I
reluctantly wear a suit every day and don't like mayonnaise or
people with a bad attitude.
What I’m doing with my life
I just finished grad school and started working full time. I'm also
restoring a 1982 Renault LeCar and trying to quit moving to a new
apartment every year.
I’m really good at
Racquetball, logic, DIY, singing off-key.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eyes, my voice, or that someone is video taping me jumping into
a fountain.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Animal Farm, The Street Lawyer, Zen and the Art of
Motorcycle Maintenance, The Ambler Warning, Invisible Man, Guns
Germs and Steel, The Selfish Gene
Movies: Life Aquatic, Bottle Rocket, Fargo, Anchorman, Lost in
Translation, The Pursuit of Happyness (stop bringing this up, it IS
how the movie title is spelled), About Schmidt, Reign Over Me,
Shawshank Redemption, Dust to Glory, Initial D, Road to Perdition,
and probably hundreds more.
Music: Almost anything. Standouts include The Format, Fun., Jackson
Browne, Stone Temple Pilots, Kings of Leon, Razorlight, Arctic
Monkeys, Joe Purdy, Fountains of Wayne, Ringside, and Red Hot Chili
Peppers.
Food: Happy Cheeseburgers
The six things I could never do without
For some reason six seems like a lot. I'll go with:
a digital camera
my little sister (if she's a thing)
cheese
comfortable t-shirts
music
and worn out jeans
I spend a lot of time thinking about
where to go from here, why people keep asking me what I'm doing on
this website, and whether I should really be drinking things with
"brominated vegetable oil" in them.
"It's like you go to the beach. You go down to the water. It's a
little cold. You're not sure you want to go in. There's a pretty
girl standing next to you. She doesn't want to go in either. She
sees you, and you know that if you just asked her her name, you
would leave with her. Forget your life, whoever you came with, and
leave the beach with her. And after that day, you remember. Not
every day, every week... but she comes back to you. It's the memory
of another life you could have had. Today is that girl."
On a typical Friday night I am
out with friends, working in the garage, or staying up all night
because I'm flying somewhere at 5am the next morning.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I used to wear Smurf underwear and I have a weird love for Phil
Collins' "In the Air Tonight."
You should message me if
1) you are astonished by your own awesomeness but prevented from
expressing this because of your humility
2) you are not astonished by your own awesomeness but are willing
to feign astonishment in order to satisfy this requirement and
message me because actually now that you think about it yeah, you
really are awesome
3) you have a short skirt and a long jacket (AND know what this
means AND believe it actually applies to you)
