I am a puzzle I've yet to solve full of diametrically opposed ideas. Get to know me and you'll understand better.

I play devil's advocate with an open mind and try to see the whole picture to both extremes and often times crave two contradictory things.

"I am a loner who without the company of others would suffer greatly." This is a quote from my autobiographical poem available on my group "Poetry Indulging Experiences" on Facebook.

I yearn for happiness while embracing the gothic and morbid.

I am a nature lover that wants to return to the forest abandoning civilization and especially society but loves technology and in particular the cyber world of the internet.

I tout creativity and individuality while spewing tired cliches like gospel.

I rediscovered the reality I was hiding from myself as a result of mind altering, reality warping conditions I subjected myself to experiencing.

I am open minded, imaginative, and paradoxical.

I went several years between writing poetry and am happy to say that I am once again writing poetry.

I have faith but am opposed to organized religion. I have seen far too many sins committed in the name of religion, like the Spanish Inquisition, as well as churches covering up crimes, like sexual abuse by preachers. I will not hold your religion against you as long as you do not try to impose it on me. Weddings and funerals are about the only things that will get me to go to church.

My free time is divided by work, family, friends, and recovery. I usually hang out with my family after work and spend the weekends hanging out with friends. I have several friends that are DJs and/or promoters so I am usually at the club at least once a week and often stay until it closes or I leave to go to an afterparty.

Computers, debate, and philosophy.

I literally been around computers my entire life since my dad repaired computers before I was born and still works in a computer related field.

I love to debate and was on the debate team in high school. My debate partner and I had two first for our high school which is extremely impressive since the school had been around since 1827. We were the first team from our school to ever make it to quarterfinals in a tournament only to have the three judge panel completely ignore both teams and flip a coin the determine the winner. We were also the first team from our school to go undefeated in a tournament; because of the number of teams, there were two undefeated teams that did not advance to the quarterfinals and we were one of the two. Advancement was determined by speaker points, a concept we knew nothing about until that time because our coach was not aware of speaker points. Speaker points range from 0 to 15 per person so 0 to 30 for the team and are awarded how civilly and within the intent of the rules rather than just the letter. We played good cop / bad cop with my partner being an ice man, completely kind and within every aspect of the rules while I never broke the rules but took them to the limit and harassed the opponent frustrating them and taking them out of their game. As a result we had 15 speaker points for each debate and not enough to advance.

When I say I am good at philosophy, I am not talking about any specific philosophy but instead philosophical thoughts and discussions.

Quick wit and stubbornness. I also tend to play devil's advocate and even though I'm stubborn I've been known to disprove my own argument and concede the point.

Friends, Family, Hope, Freedom, Intelligence, & Happiness

Friends, family, love, poetry, philosophy, freedom, and life in general.

My friends & family come first in my life and there is little within my power that I would not do for them.

Love is a beautiful concept but I am saddened to say, that because of my previous experiences, I no longer believe in romantic love. I recently wrote an interesting note about love title, Love? on Facebook where I go through the definitions of love. Love is a word that I have often used and abused in the past and do not use lightly so don't expect to hear me say, "I love you" easily or quickly.

I love philosophical conversations. "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy." This only means that philosophy must continue to expand and we must continue to question.

Recently freedom has become a common thought of mine with all of the recent laws being passed reducing our freedoms. I am against all morality laws and spend lots of time thinking about how our freedoms can be increased.

That leaves only life in general, my catch all for everything else.

Hanging out with friends often at a club.

I work Monday through Friday so my weekends are often an opportunity to have fun. I live about 3 miles from my parents so during the week, I am usually over at their house after work. The weekend is my opportunity to party and hang out with my friends. Since many of my friends are either DJs, promoters, or both, much of my weekends are spent at the clubs where I am often until the club closes, or later if hanging out with the promoters, or if I leave it is only go to another party or after party.

I was once suicidal and have suffered greatly from depression in the past but those experience make me the person I am now.
