Twitter gives you more characters than this .... I work too hard and play too little. I'm doing my best to redress the balance.

I want to play tennis like Steffi Graf, write a best seller like Jasper Fforde, play guitar like Jimi Hendrix, write a tune like Noel Gallagher, shop like a wag, marry like a wag, pen a hit TV comedy like Miranda Hart, have the body and face of a film actress, be as clever as Stephen Fry and as funny as Stephen Fry and direct a movie like Quentin Tarantino. Unfortunately my guitar skills, tennis ability and movie-making leave a lot to be desired, so i've settled for a career in publishing.

I'm looking for someone to make me smile and make me laugh, but who doesn't mind laughing appreciatively when I make a joke and it bombs.

I do tend to work quite hard. I try and play, but sometime work gets in the way.

I have a bit of a sporty streak and exercise regularly. This has it's downside as I can then justify eating pizza and drinking beer when the opportunity arises.

I like having different things to do, but I also like quiet times.

I wouldn't say that I was 'really good' at tennis, but I like to think that I'm alright at it. Generally I'm quite sporty. I go to the gym and am trying to crack 100 lengths at the swimming pool (last count 80). Try to keep healthy & active.

books: the slap, 1984, the third policeman, macbeth, brave new world, the sisters brothers, the collector, the eyre affair .... tbc

films: bridesmaids, 50 first dates, kill bill, the girl with the dragon tattoo (swedish version), gladiator, once, black swan ... tbc

music: the yeah yeah yeahs, erland and the carnival, mumford & sons, florence & the machine, the raveonettes, archie bronson outfit, kasabian, woodkid, cherry ghost, duke spirit, bombay bicycle club ... tbc

food: buritos from the mexican mission, pizza, thai food, wasabi peas, crisps, falafels, ginger beer

tennis, pizza, a hot shower, reading, music and sunshine.

tennis, life work ... in that order.

i don't have a typical friday night. i may go out for some drinks with work colleagues. or if i have a tennis match on the weekend i'll either gym or swim on the friday before. i may go see a movie. or i may just go home, cook myself a stir fry and watch come dine with me.

the most private thing i'm willing to admit is that i'm terrible at maths. Don't ask me to split a bill, or work out VAT or anything involving numbers. I will do it wrong. I'm no Vorderman.
