I am loving, adventurous, and satisfied.
My Self-Summary
I moved to LA for college. I graduated college, and I don't want to
leave. Grew up somewhere between Baltimore and DC, with lots of
rivers to swim in and good forests for campfires. My current dream
job is to be a Foreign Service Officer, so chances are I will end
up back on that side of the country in a few years, buuut I'm not
quite done with this side yet.
I want to meet someone to explore with! My favorite thing to do is
ramble around and find sweet little nooks, places to get pie and
cupcakes, $1 records, good mac n cheese, beach blankets, those rare
places in the city where you can see a star or two, paths to walk
and places to ride bikes. It'd be nice to have some like minded
company to laugh and giggle and chuckle and chit chat and wander
the city together.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm giving my brain a rest for a while and trying to do more
creative, inspiring, life and love-giving things than I could do
when my life was consumed by class. I'm figuring out what I really
love and want to do.
I’m really good at
Pretending that I know how to play harmonica
The first things people usually notice about me
Short hair, I bet.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I read The Neverending Story without knowing there was any story
past where the movie ends...so it really did seem neverending.
Thats why its my favorite!
I usually like non fiction, though. I was an Anthropology major,
and the books that I love the most are travelogues, ethnographies,
aaand I also really love those books that tell the true weird
history of ordinary boring things. Like Coal. and Cod, so strange
and hilarious!!
Pluusss anything by, about or vaguely relating to George
Orwell.
I love sifting through $1 record bins and my favorite music is
usually whatever the best, cheapest records I most recently found
were. The other day I bought America, Harmonica Blues and Marvin
Gaye.
My favorite movies are usually ones I saw alone. The Reader,
Science of Sleep, Joe Dirt, hahaaa its hard not to be embarrassed
that my favorite movie is Joe Dirt. But it is, and I have to admit
it and get on with my life. I love Joe Dirt.
The six things I could never do without
I can only think of two things that I reeeally couldn't do without-
a cell phone and free long distance so I can call my family
whenever I want/need/miss them. 3,000 miles would feel a lot
farther without those things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What to do, what to do, what to do. That day, that weekend, with my
room, with whatever is in the refrigerator, with the next 5 years,
with life. I think and plot and plan and usually end up making a
long list, losing it somewhere, and starting over.
You should message me if
You think Yacht Rock is funny.
