My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Wow, apparently this got deleted at some point. So, let's see... about me. I'm tall, goofy, cuddly, and geeky. I work in the video games industry, living over in the East Bay.

I'm tall, pretty big build (everyone loves to go "Hey big guy!" as if I've somehow never heard it before), usually shave my hair pretty short. I have a goofy, sarcastic sense of humor, I like to deliver jokes with a kind of deadpan that makes it that much funnier. I think, anyway...

I have a ton of interests, I'm very passionate about what I do and all of my other interests. My dad always said never to do things half-way, so I usually stick to that, especially when it's a topic I'm interested in. Stuff I don't like... well not so much. :P

I love food and cooking when there are enough people to warrant it, I do cook for myself but it's not as fun as cooking for others. I like all kinds of foods, especially Asian foods like pho, sushi, thai, etc.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
For the last several years or so I've been concentrating heavily on getting into the gaming industry and advancing there, as I switched over from finance in late 2008. I find it a lot more rewarding and less stressful to work in a field that I'm actually passionate about and not just in for the money. It seems pretty basic, but it's pretty surprising how many people ignore that. That said, I do find it terribly depressing how many fewer messages I get since I switched that income entry to a blank from what I was making in finance haha.

I took some time off recently to finish my degree, and had enough time to start my own company to make tabletop games, which is going GREAT! That's now underway and I've jumped back into video games, and landed a great job at an amazing company in SF, I couldn't be happier about it!

My latest interest has been costuming a bit, some friends and I went to Wasteland Weekend for the second year in a row in late September, and it was SO FREAKING RAD! I did up a limousine all post-apocalyptic/Mad Max style, so it had grated windows and guns sticking out everywhere and it won 1st place at the car show! I never really considered myself much of a mechanic, but at least I can say I've won a car show before haha

**Quick update: A couple awesome friends and I ran a kickstarter to start our own company and make tabletop games, which are a bit of a passion. It's been tons of work since it's basically a second job, but our kickstarter was really successful (like 350% funded woohoo!) so I'm super happy :)
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Uh, everything? That includes being modest btw. :P

Kidding! Sheesh. Ok, now that we've gotten rid of people who can't take a joke, let's see... most anything related to nerd-lore, such as Star Wars Trivial Pursuit, Lord of the Rings, all that.

Writing has always come naturally to me, I never understood how people in college had so much difficulty writing even short essays since I could belt them out in under an hour still drunk from the evening's festivities. That said, I'm horrible at math so to each their own. :)

In a recent job I was doing a lot of photography, and that was when I realized that I have a good eye for what looks good, since despite having very little formal photography training, I was producing some of the best shots on our team and consistently having my work published and praised and whatnot. So I like to think that I'm a generally creative person, and I think a lot of that comes from just having a clear vision of what is artistically pleasing (to me) and making it happen.

I'm a great driver, I love making people laugh, good at cooking when I'm in the mood, getting things done (my previous career was basically calling everyone and prodding them to get things done). Video games, internet-fu...
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm big.

Oh, and I'm not 100% white. So far on dates with "ladies" from OKC, I've been asked, "So... what ARE you?" and told, "Sorry... but you're ethnic as hell!" I'm not touchy about my ethnicity in the slightest, but please manage to pass the tact litmus test. It really isn't hard.

OHHH GOD I accidentally clicked a sidebar advertisement. No I don't want to play the godfather facebook game!!!

Oh man. My tastes are a little scattered all over, with tendencies toward the nerdy.

Books: World War Z, When Christ and His Saints Slept, Eaters of the Dead, ummm... Dragonlance Chronicles, I Strahd, those are the ones that come to mind.

Shows: Firefly, Archer, Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, 30 Rock, The Office, Ghost Adventures (It's a guilty pleasure, I know! hahaha), recently survival shows, Ultimate Fighter, so far so good on Agents of Shield.

Movies: Generally pretty open to whatever sci-fi, action, comedy, I love love love having bad movie night and watching terrible horror movies with friends over some drinks, it makes for a wonderful time. Classics such as Werewolf are not to be missed! When I'm feeling deep, I occasionally check out something deep like The Man from Earth. It's great to see that an interesting story and some great acting can make a worthwhile movie out of a bunch of people in a living room.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
In no particular order:

1) My family, friends and puppies!
2) Pressure. It's exposed to pressure that we thrive and grow!
3) Cuddles. I shrivel and die without them.
4) The occasional day of eating whatever I want.
5) Sex.*
6) Video games/internet.

*See #3.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Ways to improve the games I work on, how to improve myself, working out, what's happening this weekend, what movies and games are coming out, women, what I'm going to do next in the day. I try to narrow my thought process to the immediate future, I find it helps me get things done and keeps me from spacing out thinking about the endless possibilities down the road.

Set goals, plan how to achieve them, and start knocking down the little things. :)
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Hanging out with friends, either going out to dinner or a movie, sometimes having a get together for a UFC event at my place or my buddy's gym (I'm a big UFC/MMA fan, yeah I know it's kind of a douchebag sport. Another guilty pleasure of mine :P ), or just hanging out at home watching a movie or playing video games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Lion King and Mu Lan made me cry. Also I'm an ethnic chameleon. The government missed a huge opportunity to get me when I was young and stupid, train me as a secret agent and teach me a dozen languages so I could infiltrate any country except um... I dunno, Norway.

You're a nice person. We don't need to necessarily have identical tastes or interests, all I'm looking for is a nice, sweet person with an open mind. I'm supportive in relationships and am looking for the same. :)
