My self-summary
Dream chasing, wannabe rockstar with a pen in each hand.

I'm a person who loves to laugh, communicate, explore new things, play guitar around a campfire, or any fire, really. You bring the kerosene, and I'll bring the swagger.

...There are a lot of "laid back" people on here.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a writer/poet/performer/guitarist/singer/pretentious asshat/everything your guidance counselor warned you about, getting paid to create whenever I can, and working jobbity jobs whenever I can't.

I compete on national stages and play music in dive bars.
I’m really good at
1 - Making lists of things I'm really good at
2 - Postponing those lists for later
The first things people usually notice about me
Red beard, Brown hair, white eyebrows.

And, uh...I'm...loud.

Really loud.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Authors: Neil Gaiman, George R.R. Martin, Joe Abercrombie, Christopher Moore, Patrick Rothfuss, and a whole slew of others.

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Brick, Monty Python & the Holy Grail, Jurassic Park, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Role Models, The Omen, etc...

Shows: Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother, Modern Family, Fresh Prince, The Simpsons, Oz, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, Reboot, South Park, The Newsroom

Music: I like a lot of socially conscious and/or intelligent hip-hop (Lupe Fiasco, The Roots, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, KRS-One)

I like my metal progressive and interesting (Opeth, Katatonia, Mastodon, Brendan Small)

Love a lot of classic rock (Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, The Who)

I have a soft spot for music (especially folk music) from Finland.

There's really not much I -can't- enjoy. Even pop and dance music have their place and time.

I've done a bit of a dietary overhaul, and am focusing on eating better. So for the most part, these days, I eat vegetarian. I love a lot of Mediterranean food, as well as Indian and Japanese, Vietnamese and Thai are also favourites. I'm pretty open to trying new things.
The six things I could never do without
Intelligent people
Poetry (Cooler than it sounds, I promise.)
Jackets & their accompanying weather.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How next to shape my beard.

How next to change the world.

How cocky I sound.

How self-conscious about how cocky I sound I sound.
On a typical Friday night I am
Often found at a poetry slam. Maybe playing a show, or doing the karaoke thing. Maybe just sitting at home writing and looking at myself in the mirror, Gaston-style.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I stepped on a frog once when I was 8. I still feel bad about it.

You are fond of fuzzy people.

You find appeal in the kind of person who was once fired from a job for being too laid-back and too intense at the same time.

You like to use your brain.

You would like to lose a game of Scrabble.
