My self-summary
In the words of the venerable Adam Savage, "I reject your reality and substitute my own." Doing this routinely has actually made me pretty down-to-earth.

I'm very social, but I also have an active inner world of ideas, principles, and possibilities. My personality is complex, and I can be very passionate when something arouses my interests.

Interests
-Listening to music, reading, writing
-Wine, cooking, eating out (at restaurants...)
-Hiking/backpacking/camping, biking, boating, gym
-Economics, the environment, politics (I am very independent)

ENTJ if that matters to you (and even if it doesn't!).
What I’m doing with my life
Finishing up my undergraduate, working part time, and applying for full-time management jobs. In my free time, I am trying to become the second most interesting man in the world.

I have long term entrepreneurial goals that involve hospitality, agriculture, and education; that part of my career won't commence for another 7-12 years, though.
I’m really good at
-Making chocolate-Kahlua cheesecakes
-Camping (I can pitch a tent like nobody's business)
-Carrying more than 10 stemmed glasses in one hand
-Sneezing extraordinarily loudly (seriously)
-Autodidacticism as a form of procrastination.
The first things people usually notice about me
Oh, probably the fact that I am not a squirrel.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books
Mostly non-fiction that pertains to human health, society, agriculture, and the environment. Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan is a classic example, but my all-time favorite is Folks, This Ain't Normal by Joel Salatin.

Currently reading: We Took to the Woods by Louise Dickinson Rich and Gut and Psychology Syndrome by Dr. Natasha Campbell-Mcbride, MD.

Movies and Shows
I enjoy films that address the darker, more tumultuous aspects of society and the human psyche. Inception, The Black Swan, Pan's Labyrinth, and Silence of the Lambs spring to mind.

I LOVE Game of Thrones.

Music
Everything from Aine Minogue (celtic harp) to Metallica (metal... duh). I really like Poets of the Fall, Florence + The Machine, Tool/A Perfect Circle, and Stone Sour (to name but a few).

I also enjoy classical music. My favorite piece is either the first movement of Alexander Glazunov's Symphony No. 4 in E-flat major or Kiri Te Kanawa's 1975 recording of Avec la garde montante from Carmen.

Current Favorite Song(s): Toxicity by System of a Down

Food
I'm an adventurous eater and love trying new things at restaurants and in the kitchen. I also keep a pretty healthy diet that consists of a lot of fresh, local (when possible) food. Sometimes I slaughter my own chickens, which I find yields the tastiest meat (I vacillated over whether I should share that, and ultimately decided that anyone who is too put off by that to message me is too much of a pansy to date me).
The six things I could never do without
-Family and Friends
-Physical activity
-Fresh, local food
-Raw milk (get the government out of my mouth!)
-Full use of my arms and legs
-Natural light
I spend a lot of time thinking about
-Fiscal, agricultural, and environmental policy
-The relationships between people and their food
-The impacts that technology has conferred upon society
-Objectively terrible puns, like: Kim Jong-un has no Seoul.
On a typical Friday night I am
C'mon guys, didn't you get the memo? Tuesday is the new Friday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Let's play two truths and a lie:
-I was once unjustly arrested by the coast guard
-I was born in the bed of a pickup and was raised on a farm
-I have a recurring dream in which I am able to fellate myself
I’m looking for
  • Gay guys only
  • Ages 19–28
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
I don't like to include negative statement on my profile, but I also have enough dating experience to know what just doesn't work for me in a relationship. With that said....

You are probably barking up the wrong tree if you:
-Are a vegetarian, vegan, or are strictly kosher/halal.
-Identify strongly as a liberal (exception for classical liberalism).
-Haven't come to terms with your sexuality.

Otherwise, feel free to say hi! I'm pretty friendly, and I don't bite very hard unless you ask me to.

Bonus points for farmers, libertarians, and freaks in the sheets.
