Books
Mostly non-fiction that pertains to human health, society,
agriculture, and the environment. Omnivore's Dilemma by
Michael Pollan is a classic example, but my all-time favorite is
Folks, This Ain't Normal by Joel Salatin.
Currently reading: We Took to the Woods by Louise
Dickinson Rich and Gut and Psychology Syndrome by Dr.
Natasha Campbell-Mcbride, MD.
Movies and Shows
I enjoy films that address the darker, more tumultuous aspects of
society and the human psyche. Inception, The Black Swan, Pan's
Labyrinth, and Silence of the Lambs spring to mind.
I LOVE Game of Thrones.
Music
Everything from Aine Minogue (celtic harp) to Metallica (metal...
duh). I really like Poets of the Fall, Florence + The Machine,
Tool/A Perfect Circle, and Stone Sour (to name but a few).
I also enjoy classical music. My favorite piece is either the first
movement of Alexander Glazunov's Symphony No. 4 in E-flat
major or Kiri Te Kanawa's 1975 recording of Avec la garde
montante from Carmen.
Current Favorite Song(s): Toxicity by System of a
Down
Food
I'm an adventurous eater and love trying new things at restaurants
and in the kitchen. I also keep a pretty healthy diet that consists
of a lot of fresh, local (when possible) food. Sometimes I
slaughter my own chickens, which I find yields the tastiest meat (I
vacillated over whether I should share that, and ultimately decided
that anyone who is too put off by that to message me is too much of
a pansy to date me).
