What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I love language in all its varieties.I love learning foreign languages and would like to do something where I could put my language skills to use.

I also spend a lot of time working on producing electronic music and practicing djing.
I dj at clubs every so often, and go to Vancouver and Seattle pretty frequently for shows/club nights.
I run a biweekly electronic music show on Bellingham Community Radio.

I can and do spend hours daily cruising around wikipedia and google maps
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.

Books: Orwell, Bukowski, Vonnegut, various non fiction about languages/linguistics , design, economics nshit
I'm ADHD and a lot of time I have trouble following through with books to be honest, I do a lot of skimming through non-fiction/wikipedia and listening to talks to learn new stuff.

Movies: Eraserhead (I love David Lynch) Spirited Away, Den Brysomme Mannen, Shrek.

TV: Tim & Eric, Twin Peaks, The Eric Andre Show, The Daily Show, Workaholics, The Office, Frontline, Nova, Silicon Valley, King of The Hill

Radio: This American Life, Rinse FM, A Prairie Home Companion, Richard Wolff, Rinse FM

Music: There's stuff I like from pretty much every genre
I'm really into percussion heavy electronic music, which I also produce.

Super into dancehall lately.

Favorite labels: Night Slugs, Fade to Mind, Boxed, Hessle Audio, Teklife

I'm kind of tired of the really distorted skrillexy stuff right now.

I also listen to other shit like....
Tom Waits, The Pixies, Damien Jurado, Tallest Man on Earth, Young Thug, Jens Lekman, Pedro the Lion, Prince

I like to parooz thrift stores for records I could sample, so I have a growing collection of random hip hop and dance music on vinyl.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My meds, to focus when in school.

A pen or pencil: if you're bored and have paper, you can draw or write, even if you have no paper you can still tap a rhythm and accompany it in your head or by humming, also just random stuff on the street sounds cool when tapped on, metal bars and pipes etc.

Clothing: It gets fuckin' cold around here.

Access to music of some sort: Even if it's not my choice music, like if I'm on an airplane or something, I can get into all sorts of stuff.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
politics, foreign languages, electronic music, geography
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
hanging with friends, or being a shut in either working on music or browsing the internet til I fall asleep sideways with my laptop open.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I used to wear a fedora when I was in high school. It's not something I'm proud of, and it's a chapter of my life that is now over.

Also full disclosure, if beards are one of your prerequisites, sorry, I just don't have the right genes to grow anything more substantial than pedowhiskers...
