Injun gal living in New York. Did I really move here to escape the teeming masses? I wonder about that every now and then. Especially when I get an elbow in my side when I'm walking down the street... it's just like that friendly vibe from back home. Despite the complaints, I like New York a great deal. I'd only trade it for someplace warmer.

I'm a partner at a large consulting firm, in the area of health care. Most of the time it's pretty interesting.

I love learning new things whether it's at work or outside. I'm particularly interested in creative stuff - I took a class in food writing last year, and metalsmithing this year (I can now anneal with the best of them).

For some reason I didn't learn how to swim when I was 5 like everyone else, so I'm fixing that now.

Unfulfilled romances with writers. I rock at this.

I love reading fiction. My last best read was Netherland by Joseph O'Neill. Other favourite books from the past: The Exception by Christian Jungerson and most things by Hilary Mantel.

On movies, one of my favourites is Exotica. I hated Tree of Life and I guess I'm in good company.

On TV, one word: Homeland. It's the best.

In music I’m listening to Visions by Grimes. I like The Shins too. I adore Black Box Recorder. Other old favourites: Imogen Heap, Laura Veirs, Delerium, old Ani DiFranco, Tori Amos, Lamb, BT, Zero 7, Massive Attack, Meshell Ndegeocello, Coldplay, Kate Bush, Thomas Dolby, Kraftwerk, Ryuichi Sakamoto.
