My Self-Summary
I am a 40 year-old divorced mom. I have two boys, ages 13 and 19,
and I'm not looking to have any more! I've been having a great time
being single, and re-discovering myself. My life is often chaotic
and fun, and I like it that way. I enjoy reading, Guitar Hero, some tv, and
photography. I
am always in the middle of several projects at once. Sometimes it's
an art-type thing, sometimes a building project, or sometimes a
gardening project. I am always coming up with ideas and plans,
although I admit that they don't always get done!
I like people who are intelligent, funny, and sarcastic. I like to laugh....and match wits! I enjoy verbal sparring, and smart-asses. I enjoy discussing the two topics most people say never to discuss...politics, and religion.

What I’m doing with my life
I recently went back to school....how cool is that? I love being a
student, even though it makes it hard to keep up with the rest of
my life! I still work part-time, and do the mother thing....no rest
for the wicked, I guess!!
Mostly, I just enjoy my life and try to have as much fun as I can along the way. I try not to worry too much about things, or spend my time on negativity. Life is too short to dwell on the things I cannot change. I do however spend some time dwelling on the things I CAN change, and I like to do what I can to make a difference in this world.
I often think of chucking it all and going to live like a gypsy. I like to keep myself open to all of the possibilities there are in life. I tend to only set short to mid-term goals, because experience has shown me that life can throw you curve balls and you may end up somewhere totally different than you expected to be. The trick is to be able to adapt.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Favorite books would be a huge list, but a few are The Stand (or anything by Stephen
King, for that matter!), anything by Laurell K. Hamilton, all
Edgar Allan
Poe, William Shakespeare, Anne Rice, and Anne McCaffrey. I also
admit a love of all Dr. Seuss books, with Green Eggs and Ham being
my favorite. Also, Are You My Mother. Gone With the Wind is an
oldie, but still a very good book.

My favorite movies are Rocky Horror Picture Show, the original Willy Wonka, Dogma, and the Highlander movies. Mr. Frost was a pretty good movie. All of the Lord of the Rings movies of course, and Harry Potter, the books and the movies.

My mind goes a million miles an hour all the time, so it's hard to say what I'll be thinking at any given point in time. I can actually focus intensely when I have to. I just choose not to most of the time. I've pulled some of my best thoughts out of my brain when it was a whirling maelstrom of chaos (which is frequently...).

Now that the weather has settled, Friday nights usually find me out
on the patio grilling, or having a late night fire....I LOVE fire!
It causes instant intimacy on a dark starry night....people open up
and feel comfortable gathered around a fire. Probably something
primal in that.
Saturday nights are another story...if I'm not out on a date, then I'm hosting a game night. What fun! Board games, video games, booze and my favorite people...how can we not have a good time?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
Much to my chagrin, my personality awards at the bottom of my
profile are pretty damn accurate. I'm kinda surprised.
I'm one of those people who believe in most things that other people do not..you know, Bigfoot, Nessie, that kind of thing. I think it is hugely egotistical of humans to think that we know or even see everything that is in existence....what creature in their right minds wouldn't try to avoid us? When we do see something new and unusual, we devote time to hounding it until we catch it...and then do what with it?
Also, I secretly lust for power tools. I have one or two, but am working on building my collection...imagine the devastation and destruction I could cause then!!
