My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm an easy going Idaho native that moved to the bay area for a new job.

As a note of caution (or glee!), I'm a big friggin geek. The first things one notices when walking into my apartment are a big poster based on the Lord of the Rings book series, my Jesus action figure (with roller action and pose-able arms!), band posters/swag (mostly from the band Tool), a telescope, video games, and books.

I also have a big, awkward acoustic guitar that I keep meaning to learn to play. However, instead of those words, I just use it as a handy dust collector/tripping hazard for now.

When I'm not cautioning or using the word "friggin" or "swag", I enjoy making random lists of activities I like to do such as:

Watching movies/binge watching Netflix series
Going for a walk on the beach
Going for a walk around a lake
Working out
Playing video games
Looking at stars and planets through my telescope
Laying down in the grass while looking up at the clouds and contemplating life.
All of the above with friends/family

As the above list suggests, I'm a pretty calm guy. However, on occasion, I like to go to hard rock concerts and be near the mosh pit...but who doesn't like that? Being elbowed in the gut and punched in the jaw is fun for the whole family...oh yeah I can also be a smart ass ;)

If you're into concerts and the band "Tool", you should definitely go to one of their concerts...there's also a very low probability of being hit in the junk by some drunk guy, which is nice!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Graduated from Idaho State University and have a B.S. in Physics. Now I'm finishing a Masters degree in Physics and working at SLAC national lab as an accelerator operator.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Doing a bunch of math problems

Building things

Working on sprinklers

Making banana bread and curry chicken

Getting random 80s or 90s songs stuck in my head for several days on end.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably that I'm a rather quiet, but friendly guy. Other than that, maybe the goatee?

Wow this could go on and on and on. We'll start with books.

I like a plethora of books, graphic novels, and comic books. Some of the comic books I have in my collection are: JTHM and Squee by Johnen Vasquez, Old Man Logan Wolverine, the Boys by Garth Ennis, the Sandman by Neil Gaiman, and others.

I also like the vampire chronicles by Anne Rice (I've read 4 of the 10), the hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien, This delightfully screwed up book called Pygmy which was written by Chuck Palahniuk. Game of Thrones (It sucks waiting for the next one to come out!). Right now I'm reading a book called "The Child Thief" written by Brom, it's sort of a twisted version of peter pan.

Some of my favorite movies are: Star Wars original trilogy, The Lord of the Rings film trilogy, The Matrix, etc.

In terms of TV, Hannibal, Game of Thrones, American Horror Story, Firefly, Star Trek (Most of them except deep space 9), etc. I also like to watch anime.

My favorite bands are: Tool and A Perfect Circle. I also like: Chevelle, Old System of a Down, Linkin Park, Rise Against, Killswitch Engage, Austrian Death Machine, Blink-182, Gorillaz, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, The Offspring, Old Alice in Chains, Static X, and more...

I'm actually a bit of a picky eater. Kind of a "meat and potatoes" guy. However, you shouldn't get me started on things like my favorite food, because I've been known to chat with random girls on here for hours about the best ice cream places where I'm from and stuff like that, so yeah definitely like food.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
* Laptop/Internet
* Video Games (I don't play nearly as much as I used to)
* Car
* Music
* A good book
* Alarm clock (seriously...I suck at getting up early)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Work, revising my masters thesis, and how bad ass being a jedi or Batman would be.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
A lot of the time I'm working. Gotta love shift work for that!

If it's the "Friday equivalent" day for me, I usually like to go out to a movie, hang with co-workers, or have a quiet night in.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm quite shy in person, but I'm good once I warm up to you.

I'm not a big talker, but, as you can see after getting this far, I do like to write a lot.

I also have a fear of heights, so...yeah not very adventurous in that regard.
