My self-summary
Ok, so I should get some important stuff out in the open. I'm honest, really honest, to a fault honest, and I'll call you on your s**t, but I'll also send flowers and give great back rubs. I think it balances out. I'm an omnivore, vegetarians/fish eaters are all good, vegans might have trouble with me. And please be ok with sushi, pasta, pizza and wine. And no pet birds... Now back to regular profile stuff.

I am a surgical oncologist who is equally happy swapping my scrubs for a nice tailored suit, swim shorts or ski boots. I have my life together; own a home, made partner at the office, have an Ivy league education and a great dog. I believe in the power of kindness, humor and a brunch with bottomless mimosas (or Bloody Mary's). I'm a big goofball with my patients and my friends; life is too short. I love red wine, bourbon, barbecue, and anything spicy. I love to cook for my friends accompanied by lots of wine. I was raised on theater, music and literature by a mom who trained me to be a gentleman. She and I talk regularly; family is important. Are you're up for a football or Giants game? Perfect, I have season tickets, lets go! Adventure is always a good idea, whether its a day trip to Napa or Colorado for some skiing. I like to have a bag packed at all times, do you?

So who am I looking for? A woman with ambition and a passion for doing good in the world. Someone who’s courageous, sassy and adventurous, but grounded — a combination of Midwestern values and NY style. Someone who is understanding when plans change at the last minute, as they sometimes can with my work. Someone who challenges me with their sarcasm and smarts. A woman who knows that love — for family, friends, humanity — is more important than anything else.

I have a crazy, super charming lab retriever named Marcus, he's a rascal and he'll steal your heart.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a cancer surgeon with a secret desire to be a chef someday. Seriously, I love my job and still smile every day when I walk into the office.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at useless trivia. I am also very handy in the kitchen and planning impromptu road trips to Napa and Tahoe.
The first things people usually notice about me
Honestly I don't know, but it is probably the 70 lb lab retriever puppy stuck to my leg.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Eminem, Silver sun pickups, Milky Chance,, just to name a few. I rock out to good dance and anything from Deadmau5, XX, Guetta, love it all.

Movies: Stranger than Fiction, Godfather (1 & 2 only, 3 was a miss), Power of One, Sci Fi Flicks, Ocean's Eleven, The Hangover, anything Bond, and good action movies in general.

Food: wine is a food group right? Seriously. All things seafood (if you like oysters and lobster rolls you're golden), Mexican, steak and Italian.

Books: My tastes in literature are all over the map. I love the classics (Bronte, Dickens), the scientific (Dune), the economic (anything Gladwell) and just started Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.

Places: Heavenly, Napa/Yountville, Vail, Anywhere with a beach and warm water
The six things I could never do without
1) My friends/family/lab retriever (yes I know I'm cheating, but OKC rules are really more of a guideline, like the pirates' code)
2) great food especially with great wine
3) My nespresso machine first thing in the morning.
4) laughter
5) my iPhone
6) My gym membership (staying healthy is important to me, and I hope to you as well)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
where I want to go with my life, why we haven't met yet, why my dog chases his shadow, why lobsters taste so good, when's my next trip to wine country... I think a lot.
On a typical Friday night I am
Could be out finding a new restaurant or cooking with friends experimenting with a new recipe. After a long week, might be home watching a movie with the pup.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have to close the closet doors before going to bed
You should message me if
Because meeting new people is fun, and everyone needs more fun. On a more serious note, message me if you believe in balance, growing as a person and being a part of something bigger than yourself, if you enjoy travel, sharing great meals and finding new adventures.
