My self-summary
"The night life ain't a good life, but it's my life."
If you know the song, that's a good start. It's also true ... I work late, not a big party guy, but the restaurant life means that when I try to date women with 9-5 jobs, we never see each other, and it just never works out.

I've been all over the place and seen most of what life has to offer, both good and bad. I wouldn't trade that experience, because it makes me feel as if I understand life and other people that much better as a result. Plus that, I have a pretty strong sense of adventure, and always want to see and try new things, especially as pertains to food, music, and travel.

I just moved back home to Texas after 8 years in LA (plus 3 in Chicago and London). I've been away from family for a long time now, and I feel like I'm missing out on time with them that I can't get back.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a chef, which means I work a lot, and when I'm not at work, I still think about work a lot. To be successful at what I do, there isn't much of an option, really.

I love what I do, and I wouldn't change it, although at some point, when I'm older and ready to slow down a little, I figure I'll do something simpler like open a little cowboy/biker bar/bbq pit.
I’m really good at
cooking, singing, reading, laughing, thinking, telling stories about my crazy life.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm really quiet at first, but once I get comfortable and open up, or have a few drinks, the stories start to flow, and you can hardly shut me up.
