I’m from Pullman (Go Cougs!), but have been a Seattleite for three years. Being able to go running outside year round is awesome. So are all the hiking/mountain/water sports available in western Washington. Oh, and the abundant recycling facilities, music scene, locally grown/sustainable/organic foods, quality coffee shops, progressive politics… I love it here.

Seattle has so many incredible bars and restaurants; I like to try as many different ones as I can. (Side note: Did you notice my amazing use of the semicolon? Proper grammar is pretty fantastic. Ok, that’s punctuation, but the two go hand in hand.) Sometimes I try to recreate the ethnic cuisines I’ve tasted in my own kitchen. I’m on a Greek/Mediterranean food kick right now.

Watching movies is a favorite pastime. Tarantino, Wes Anderson, and cheesy John Hughes 80’s high school films are pretty high on the list. I read a lot, mostly novels. Occasionally nonfiction when I’m feeling particularly intelligent. If I’m not, I just read the Wikipedia article. Seriously, if you don’t have the Wikipedia app on your phone, you should download it now. It’ll change your life.

Trying to find my way in the world. Oh, and working as an awesome accountant.

Coming up with clever pop culture references, finding tax deductions, organizing things, swearing at drivers that cut me off, and making omelettes.
