I'm a slightly introverted, laid-back girl who prefers a casual night in with friends or coffee to bar-hopping. Very independent, looking for a friendly, confident, self-sufficient, independent someone with a good sense of humour and a geeky side that compliments mine. I'm very into arts, theatre, and pop-culture and would love to meet someone with similar interests. I'll talk about anything and am known for being a marathon conversationalist when I get going, but I also enjoy just hanging out and watching a movie. I'm an awful cook, will procrastinate to the point of ridiculousness, and find grandiose romantic gestures suspect. If you're looking for or like to deliver lots of romance, I'm probably not your girl.

I tend to listen first and talk later when I meet people, so if I seem shy it's just because I'm absorbing. As soon as I feel comfortable (which can take as little as a few minutes or as long as a few meetings) I open right up and will talk about pretty much anything.

Books: Harry Potter, anything by Terry Pratchet, anything by Stephen King, Ishmael, Lamb: The Gospel According to Bif Christ's Childhood Pal, The Princess Bride, just about anything I happen to be reading at the moment.

Movies: Fight Club, Love Actually, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Devil Wears Prada, Amelie, The Great Mouse Detective. I'll watch anything that isn't scary/horror.

TV: Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The West Wing, Criminal Minds, Gargoyles, Firefly, Bones, Sports Night, Doctor Who, Project Runway, Dollhouse, How I Met Your Mother.

Music: I have eclectic taste and will listen to almost anything. Not a big fan of Top 40s or techno unless I'm dancing. I am likely to turn off rap within 15 seconds. When I listen to anything heavy I break the Heavy Metal Code and listen to it quietly. I have a large collection of Barbershop music. I suck at music trivia. I like Rock Band!

Friends and family, a book to read, my sister, touch, my computer, stories.

I like to know how people think, what makes them tick, and why they think that way. I want to understand every side of an argument. I'm a great believer in the gray spectrum of ethics that is without white or black. I think a lot about stories, both fictional and non-fictional. I wonder what web 4.0 will look like.

Either at home chilling with a book with my cat on my lap or out with friends at a pub/someone's house just hanging out with a glass of wine. I am not a clubber, though every few months I go out dancing for a few hours. I enjoy wine but hate being drunk. If that's your thing, I'm not a good match for you.
