Your Notes
Edit your notesI am witty, sarcastic, and a travel junkie.
My Self-Summary
A few things about me:
- I'm a night owl, not a morning bird.
- I'm a city girl, not county mouse.
- It's coke and never pepsi.
- I believe chinese food requires chop sticks, not a fork and that spaghetti should be twirled, never cut.
- I like to read a lot but only when I'm in the mood.
- I drive a stick shift and always have. It's been that way since my first and favorite car, my '69 VW Bug. I miss her.
- I love my veggies but will always be a carnivore.
- I regularly exercise but I really don't like it.
- I'm always looking for fun things to do but also not ashamed to lay around in my PJs all day watching the tube.
- I like to try new restaurants but I also know what I'm doing in the kitchen when I choose to eat in. This means that I'm always looking for friends to use as test subjects for new recipes.
- I like a sunny day at the beach and a rainy day on the sofa.
- I will take almost any chance to travel especially if it's Europe.
- I'm fiercely loyal to my friends and family and now I'm curious if there are some others out there that might be friends too.
What I’m doing with my life
My big fun is traveling. I was in Spain and Italy last fall, Vegas this spring. I go to NYC whenever I can. I'm trying to figure out my next trip now. Soooo much to see!
I also work off stress and get some fresh air by walking my "time-share dog" for my friend who works even longer hours than I do. She's a very precocious wiener dog. We're currently working on sitting at cross walks so we can calmly wait for traffic. She's a good dog.
I’m really good at
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Pride and Prejudice (What can I say, I'm a girl), all the Harry Potters because it's just a good story, and yes I am currently reading New Moon... who isn't. I really like historic fiction, some biographies, and classic lit especially British. Other than that, it's whatever I see that looks good on the tables at B&N.
Music: This is impossible to answer. I like everything from Otis Redding, Frank Sinatra, Kings of Leon, Bob Marley, Billy Holiday, Willie Nelson, The Killers, Regina Spektor, Journey, Queen, Maroon 5, Justin Temberlake, The Clash, Cole Porter, Glenn Miller, to Marvin Gaye....... I could keep going forever. Oh yeah, and 80s, 80s, 80s. Not ashamed to admit it. I seem to always have some kind of sound track running in my head.
Movies: Even more impossible to answer. I like my chick flix like Pretty Woman, Love Actually, Out of Africa, my stupid humor like Old School, Anchor Man (I'm laughing just thinking about it), will alway love the 2 golden trilogies of "Indiana Jones" and "Star Wars", and don't even get me started on classic films. I will challenge anyone to keep up with me on the oldies. Casablanca, Now Voyager, Sing in the Rain, Mr Smith Goes to Washington, Stalag 17, The Quiet Man, Some Like it Hot...... I can do this forever.
Then I just start to go all over the place, L.A. Confidential, Time Bandits, Holy Grail, Gladiator, Clerks, The Big Blue, The Mummy movies (don't know why but I love those), Sean of the Dead, Wrath of Khan.... Yep, I would say I really movies.
The six things I could never do without
- My friends.
- My phone. I'm a txt-aholic
- My remote. Thank you for letting me live in the day of HDTV and cable.
- My Grandmother's recipes.
- My sense of humor. It definitely helps get me through the day sometimes.
And one extra.... my passport.
