My self-summary
Quite honestly, I try very hard not to be a stereotypical girl and then frustrate myself when I manage to do just that. I'm not a hardcore geek, but I think they're adorable (brains are sessy). I sing (well) and play a few instruments (poorly), I love working with my hands on such things as knitting and cooking (but especially knitting), and I'm a writer (as of yet unpublished) who would like to make it a full-time career as soon as those pesky student loans are paid off. Unfortunately, the Sims own my soul. Lately I've become even more obsessed with knitting, and have concluded that I am addicted to fuzz. In unrelated news, I now have two cats and a digital camera, with which to flood the Intarwebs with even MORE mediocre kitty pictures. La!

I am inconsistent, dual-natured, and brilliant
What I’m doing with my life
I'm trying to find work of a profitable nature (shut up, it could TOTALLY happen quite unexpectedly), while trying to convince myself that writing is as much a real profession as any other art. Hopefully in a few years I'll be able to do just that, and that alone.
I’m really good at
Looking interested, and contradicting myself. Frequently. I'm a fair singer and have a knack for detail, especially those of a culinary and decorative nature. I don't like to argue, but I generally manage to do so fairly well, I guess, if I have to, and please don't give me that look. I am the Queen of Procrastination, and the Roman Goddess of Sharp Pointy Things.
The first things people usually notice about me
People generally notice my eyes/glasses, or my smile. The eyes are blue, the smile is crooked, and neither one seems to care awfully about the other.

Or, that I'm knitting. I suppose that's unusual.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
A.) I'm currently reading The Possessed by Doestoyovksy (I must conquer all 600+ pages!!), and being frustrated by L.K. Hamilton (again). Dammit woman, softcore porn does not a fairytale make! ....officially.

B.) Firefly and its corresponding movie, Serenity, make me all gooshy on the insides. Also, I wish to bear Joss Whedon's babies. Huzzah for Lord Of The Rings! (And by that I mean the entire series.) Also for Harry Potter! And Lemony Snicket! Good times, good times. Also, LadyHawke, Hero, House of Flying Daggers, The Story of Adele H., and The Usual Suspects.

C.) My music collection is very eclectic. I have bits of Bob Marley, The Chieftans, Orgy, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, and much more. It's kind of silly; right now my favorite artists are Michael Buble, Charlotte Church, and Josh Groban. And Cake.

D.) Yes please. I also enjoy a wide variety of foods, so choosing a favorite is literally going to be only the flavor of the month. Right now, I am really loving DQ Banana Split Blizzards. And Taro chips. And cake.
The six things I could never do without
1. Coffee 2. Computer 3. Music 4. My current knitting WIP 5. Cracktea 6. Books
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What I'll knit next. Or, what I'll write next. Lately, I've been thinking a lot about NaNoWriMo, and whether or not I'll make the 50,000-word mark this year.

I suppose a plot, or some general sense of story idea would help, hm?
On a typical Friday night I am
Knitting. (See a pattern, here?) But usually, I'm watching a movie while knitting! That makes me hip, right? And...'happening'? Often, though, I'll take my knitting to my geeky friends' house, and we'll be geeky together.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I love buying shoes, but I don't like to wear them. And, the color pink just might be okay. But if you tell anyone, I shall kick you very hard.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 24–54
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends
You should message me if
You have nothing better to do than help me delay my mad success, riches, and fame by distracting me from writing. We all know you want to. And a little boost to the ol' ego is appreciated now and again.

However, if you haven't chummed up to our dear friend Grammar for some time and commonly use typing shortcuts, no punctuation, numbers instead of words (e.g., "2" instead of "to/too"), and think capitalization is something you studied in geography, be forewarned that I might mock you severely. (It happens from time to time.)
