So, I really enjoy reading other people's profiles but I have a really difficult time when it comes to writing my own. I know that's not very original, so looks like I'm already off to a rough start!

Anyway, I'm originally from Michigan but I moved to Chicago about 4 years ago, with the pretense of coming here for grad school, but mostly I was bored of living in Michigan and needed a change. Of course, I actually did get through grad school and now have a real adult job as a school psychologist! I love living in Chicago, and even though I work out in Waukegan, I'm not ready yet to leave the city and move back to the suburbs.

I'm really up for trying just about anything. I've been sky diving, taken a flying class, a trapeze class... I also like playing guitar, bike riding, kayaking, cooking, reading... I'm really pretty open. I'd like to find someone who's also pretty open minded.

Working as a school psychologist in an elementary school. I love working with kids and for the most part I like my job. I also really enjoy finding other things to get involved with like joining a volleyball team or taking some type of class. I tend to get bored if every day feels the same.

board games. I'm pretty competitive.

Also, I like to think I'm pretty good at baking and cooking.

Probably my glasses or my smile. Personality-wise, people tend to notice that I'm prety sarcastic.

My favorite foods are: thai food, italian, mexican, chocolate, ice cream... I'll eat most things, although for some reason I can't get into seafood.

Movies: Gone with the Wind, When Harry Met Sally, Sense and Sensibility, Groundhog Day, What about Bob

Shows: There aren't a lot of shows that I really go out of my way to watch. I like finding a series and watching all the seasons of it on Netflix. I really got into Weeds for a while, but kind of lost interest. I love Mad Men and can't wait for that to come back on the air. Recently started watching Arrested Development.

Books: I really enjoy reading most kinds of books from young adult (Hunger games was awesome!) to classics, to some nonfiction, etc. I always like getting book recommendations!

Music: Just like everyone else, I like to think my music tastes are pretty broad. I even like some country.

fun things to do to break up the work week.

"my Friday nights are anything but typical," as everyone says. If the week is busy, I usually keep it pretty low-key on Fridays and I like to go out more on Saturdays. It's nice to get out for dinner or to hang out w/friends though.

Horror movies really scare me. I used to get really creeped out too at haunted hayrides and haunted houses but I've gotten a little better...
