I'm originally from the San Francisco area, but lived in Arizona (mostly in or around Phoenix) for about 10 years and Tokyo for almost three and a half. I've been in Seattle for 14 years now. I like a lot of the usual boy-stuff -- cars, guitars, things that go boom. I'm a certifiable geek and I have been my whole life.

I suck at meeting people. Breaking the ice is just not something I'm particularly good at. Once that bit is out of the way, watch out, but that initial step has always been hard for me. Getting that bit out of the way here is a bajillion times easier.

Work, mostly. Other than that I'm concentrating on my core hobbies, primarily photography at the moment.

Learning new things. When something catches my interest I have a tendency to dig in and gain a decent level of competence / knowledge / whatever in short order. Unfortunately I can be a bit mercurial as well; I sometimes gain an interest in something then move on to the next shiny. My core hobbies have been music and photography, neither of which I really feel I've put enough time into to really excel at. It probably doesn't help any that those have pretty much always been solo endeavors for me -- spending time with somebody who has similar interests makes a massive difference for me.

Depends on which end they're facing. I've got a nice ass and beautiful blue eyes.

I'm quite eclectic in my tastes, really. I'll read/watch/listen to anything as long as it's *good*. Two of my favorite authors are Hunter S. Thompson and Vonnegut. Opus Pistorum has to be some of the best bus books ever. I love scifi and horror movies, but my tastes hardly end there. Tombs of the Blind Dead is one of my favs, but zombie movies in general get my juices flowing. Clockwork Orange, Bladerunner, Buckaroo Banzai, Blue Velvet, Boxing Helena, Cemetary Man. Trainspotting, Spinal Tap, Raising Arizona, Office Space, Jesus Christ Superstar. Dirty Rotten Scoundrels may well be the best movie ever made. Music -- well, I've been listening to a lot of Madness, Lunachicks, and Frank Zappa lately -- my tastes are really quite eclectic. Next week it may be Vivaldi, Tiny Tim, and Prozzak. I *love* good food. A great meal is one of my favorite things. The caeser salad at the Empress hotel in Victoria is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth. Oh, and cheese.

Honestly, as long as I have food, water, and shelter I'll manage. But I guess that's not what this question is about so...

Lately, who I am, what I'm doing, what I *should* be doing, and what I need to be happy. Admittedly, I'm coming out of a bit of a dark phase, so self-reflection is the order of the day. I've been spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to not make crummy photos.

Eh, these days relaxing at home usually. My ass needs to spend fewer Fridays doing that, though.
