I am silly, impatient, and aloof.

My Self-Summary

Alright, well it's pretty hard to sum yourself up, especially since it's hard for me to see myself from someone else's point of view. Yeah, for example, I had no idea that I was that weird and fascinating. Apparently, some people in college (and before that) though I was kinda kooky.

I smell everything and I touch everything because I like textures. I go between not talking much and talking too much. I also seem to be very stubborn and sometimes too honest. I guess I have trouble figuring out how to tell someone bad news in a nice, gentle way.

I'm also extremely ticklish, so I hate it when people try to tickle me. I like making people laugh. In college, I took a class about laughter and learned that the person who is making another laugh is the one in control at that time. And, guess what? Yeah, I like being in control. But I also don't like having to make all the decisions. Usually, it's guys who like to make women laugh (statistically, so said the prof). I like funny people a lot, too. I'm sarcastic.

Also, once I finish an assignment I don't like to work on it more. I think I'm kinda lazy sometimes. Actually, I think I'm just a procrastinator. I like trying new things and new foods. I tried crickets one time, but they tasted like oil. Totally uncool, I was hoping for a nutty taste. But, I'm a semi-vegetarian. I sometimes eat organic meats, and I always eat seafood. I didn't eat meat at all for about 4 years while in college.

Well, I'll add more as I think of more info. Thanks for reading!

Oh, and I'm shy but definitely not quiet. Also, I recently realized that I am more interested in learning many new things rather than learning a few things really well. I am not especially interested in doing things perfectly or even very well, I am mostly just interested in learning a little bit of everything and moving on.

Also, I'm a pretty terrible driver. Most people who ride in the car with me don't ever ride in it again if they can help it. I have really bad night vision on the road, too, and during bad weather. But mostly, I think I'm such a bad driver is because I don't care for it, it's just boring and stressful.

I'm a talented artist with a very sexy accent.

I'm very detail-oriented and like people who are reliable.

What I’m doing with my life

Living it.

I’m really good at

oh gosh. eating, being annoying (I wish I played pranks), trying to make art, laughing, spelling, trying new things, sleeping, using my hands, being blunt.

I'm really bad at:

singing, dancing, writing, bs-ing.

The first things people usually notice about me

I think I will have to ask some people about this.

One friend says I look like a librarian with my glasses. But then he said he thinks about reading boring books and eating broccoli.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I like nautical stuff. This really applies to themes in fabric and home decoration. I like the imagery.

I like to read non-fiction, funny books, it really depends. What I don't like to read is comics (except the newspaper cartoons), history, or politics. But I am vaguely interested in those, I wish I wasn't so bored by the last two genres, but I just can't help it. On the other hand, I like books relating to psychology, sociology and such.

In terms of movies, documentaries and comedies get first place. Also, really good films and foreign films. And independent films. I don't especially like dramas because they're depressing, but I recognize their importance and have seen some good ones. I mostly don't like watching the same film more than once.

Music: this is a hard one, too, because I like many different types. Lots of times I will like just one song from a band. I will just list five bands I like, trying to cover as many genres as possible.

By the way, I'm terrible at math and paperwork, having immense trouble understanding things like filing taxes and the link between one little bureaucratic paper to another little bureaucratic paper.

Gogol Bordello
Radiohead
Muse
Tom Waits
Depeche Mode
Nine Inch Nails
Thievery Corporation
Bob Dylan
Blonde Redhead
Bonnie Prince Billy
Chopin
Bjork
Portishead
Black Keys

I guess this turned out to be more than 5, but, like I said, I'm not good at math. ;)

by the way, there are some songs by each band that I totally hate, can't have it all bucko

The six things I could never do without

my family of course, my computer is pretty useful, too. and I like food a lot. also, friends, love, and art.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

sex.

Just kidding. I like to imagine different scenarios (not sex scenarios). Also, I like to research little, seemingly useless stuff. I also like online Scrabble.

Here is a list of other things that I dabble in:
kayaking
biking
sewing
crocheting
trying to make a website
trying to learn more graphic design and to make animations
reading
yoga
DIY
trying to eat healthy (only organic meat, but any kind of seafood. I know, I know the stuff about non-organic seafood, its just as bad, but the idea here is to do as much as you can within your capacity)
most non-team sports, but I can't remember the last time I played any of that for fun (probably in middle school)
cooking/baking

keep in mind that everyone sounds better on paper (or internet) heh.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I don't like washing my hands.
