My Self-Summary
I didn't realize how horrible at describing myself I am until I decided to revamp my self summary. . . I also didn't realize that I look like I have a drinking/partying problem until I uploaded more photos. . . My problem is that I usually only find myself on the business end of a camera when I've been drinking. . . This could be interesting. . .
I've recently found myself addicted to the Unmitigated Drama forum... Who knew such a horrible thing could provide so much entertainment?
I'm kind of a "black sheep" (not being black, it is figurative, not literal), always have been in the circles of friends I've held in my life time. Perhaps I bring some form of equilibrium to these groups? For whatever reason, I seem to "fill in the gaps" in respect to personalities, interests, and perspectives. Or maybe I'm just weirder than my friends?
I enjoy all sorts of things. I play my fair share of computer games, but can separate myself from them. I try to keep up with what's going on in the world, because I'm a citizen of the world and like to know what's going on in my "community". I love football at all levels. The Tennessee Volunteers and the EKU Colonels are my college teams, as well as anyone who is playing Western Kentucky University (fuck 'em!). As for NFL, I've always been a huge Miami Dolphins fan.
I'm curious... Not in the bi/curious way, but in the constantly trying to learn about everything. A "life-long hunger for knowledge", if you will. I also absolutely love stand-up comedy, but I'm not creative enough to actually do it.
I am a very liberal person, I support big government, I think that taxes are highly necessary (and should be a little higher on everyone with this economic disaster) but still shitty at the same time, I believe in civil liberties, human rights, and peace and social justice, and I definitely support government funded programs. At the same time, I believe the free market isn't a bad thing; the free market just needs regulation. Unlike other liberals, I am very supportive of gun rights and I'm not very concerned with the environment (which makes me a great candidate for anything in Kentucky politics).
I have no religion, which is fine, trust me. . . I keep myself from being a "moral degenerate" using this really cool "book" I like to call The Constitution of The United States of America. Sound lame? Most likely it does, but not having a religion, I apparently "have to believe in something". So I take this document, and a whole slew of supporting ideas from society's greatest minds, with me wherever I go (in my mind, that is). I try to avoid having to make a case if I can. Oh, and I do keep a pocket Constitution and Declaration of Independence in my car.
Here's the kicker. . . I've got quite the country side to myself. Every now and again, you'll hear it slip out through my accent (especially if I've been drinking).
GO VOLS!!
