I am boil, toil, and trouble.

My Self-Summary

I collect weirdos. I'm terribly handsome. I fancy myself a cynic but it's not true.

I identify as a queer woman, not "gay" or "bisexual" as OkCupid would peg me. I tend to date women, trans men, queer boys, and other people who fall in between the lines of sexual identity. I try not to place too much emphasis on the politics of it all, and concentrate on why I like and am attracted to a particular person rather than what type of person is attractive to me. I'm not confused or just out to add an experimental notch in my belt. Therefore...not a bisexual. (I kid!)

What I’m doing with my life

eating ice cream for dinner, staying up late, watching rated R movies. breaking rules.

currently in limbo after preschool and before library school.

I’m really good at

taking naps. rationalizing. making sly jokes at your expense.

The first things people usually notice about me

My God, she's coming this way!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I like to read things by cynical old men, like Bukowski and Hemingway and Raymond Carver. I like to watch movies starring jaded old men, like Humphrey Bogart. I like music by men with breaking wails and tales to tell, like Tom Waits and Otis Rush and B.B. King. I like foods that have very little to do with old men. I like my eats spicy, stinky, and pure.

The six things I could never do without

my hands, the color red, glasses, small list-sized notebooks, new food experiments, books

On a typical Friday night I am

Having a potluck, theme party, or craft night with friends. That, or drinking alone. Lately more of the latter, as I'm new to town and haven't collected enough friends for a potluck yet.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I think there is nothing hotter than a little healthy awkwardness.

You should message me if

you don't mind quirky conversations
