I'm originally from Iowa. People here seem taken aback that A.) Iowa is even a place, and B.) People can actually be from there?! Believe it or not both are true, and I'm living proof.

I'm laid back and open minded. I've been an athlete all my life and simply require regular exercise to feel right. I'm excited for my fist summer here in NYC, all park everything. I'm somewhat of a closet nerd too, particularly when it comes to comedy and obscure internet content. I find any and all expression of creativity inspiring. Quick wit and keen intellect are the most attractive qualities someone can have if you ask me.

Silver Linings Playbook was great. Anything Coen Brothers, American Psycho, Happy Gilmore, Shawshank Redemption, Lost in Translation, Good Will Hunting, Blade Runner, Gangs of NY, 40 year old virgin, Crash, Training Day, The Shining, the 1st and 2nd Austin Powers movies, The Hurtlocker, Man on Fire, Midnight in Paris, Little miss sunshine, Dumb and Dumber, All the old Disney movies... Also ANY documentary.

TV:
I'm currently watching the West Wing. Martin Sheen for president anyone?
Mad Men is probably my favorite TV show, although I'm not so sure I like this season so far. I also love The Office, Arrested Development, Parks and Rec, Its always sunny, 30 Rock, Twin Peaks, Boardwalk Empire, Curb your Enthusiasm, The Wire, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, BBC shows like Planet Earth.. etc.

Music:
Gotta say Radiohead is my favorite band. The Shins, Bon Iver, Iron and Wine, Black Light Dinner Party, Djemba Djemba, Mumford and Sons, Thrice, Ryan Hemsworth, Baauer, Fleet Foxes, Outkast, The Roots, Atmoshpere, Kanye, Jay-Z, Silversun Pickups.. All stuff on my ipod. I like pretty much anything.. less maybe deathmetal, screamo, country (dont tell my mother), and a few others..

Books:
Steven King - The Shining, Hearts in Atlantis, The Dark Tower series, all amongst my favorites. Dan Simmons - Hyperion. One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish? The Science of Being and Art of Living. Ender's Game. James Clavell - Shogun. I love the LoTR books. Some John Grisham. I like a lot of non-fiction also, Guns, Germs, and Steel was really good. I'm all about driving cross country with a good b on t.

Food:
You name it, I'll eat it and probably love it. I grew up eating a pretty wide variety of foods and I couldn't be less picky. Quality over quantity. Sushi over everyhting.

Finding a happy medium between sober and.. not. Usually having to do in part or completely with whiskey. Its about 50/50 whether that's out on the town or in my apartment in front of netflix or pirated media.
