I am random, sarcastic, and atypical.
My Self-Summary
I'm a tall, artistic, athletic, and somewhat geekish individual
who's only form of transportation (other than my own two feet) is a
motorcycle. Which inherently means I'm a badass...i wish. I'm an
outdoors kind of guy, but lately my motivation for long excursions
has been sapped and I could use some help.
What I’m doing with my life
Work:
- I'm currently working in the IT field dealing with massive
databases that have massive issues (give me one..ok
two...good reasons to turn off referential integrity).
Play:
- Hell. A fantastic multiplayer solitare (I think that's an
oxymoron). High stress, lots of yelling, and lately...lots of me
winning :P.
Interests:
- Working on a screen play. Never tried it before, but I want to
film something and do it right. Storyboard and all. I've had some
experience with video cameras and shorts, but it was all
impromptu...and it generally sucked.
- Learning to play jazz piano. I'm good with reading classical
music, but jazz is a whole different beast.
- Staying in decent shape.
I’m really good at
- Grilling
- running, tennis, lifting
- being a beer snob...sometimes brewing
- SQL/RoR/PhP (just about anything that has three letters)
- Being completely and confusingly random
- Taking things out of context...anything to humor myself, and
hopefully those around me :P.
The first things people usually notice about me
Tall, glasses, and apparently a fairly strong presence.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Most anything from Michael Chrichton...and he's gone now
:(
Movies: Why do so many people think Face/Off is a bad movie??? It's
great I'm telling ya. Take a look at rottentomatoes ... 93% from
top critics! "I want to take his face.....offff"...anyway... My
favs, in no particular order, are: The Fith Element, Gladiator,
Anchorman, Batman Begins, ..others..
Music: Eclectic. However, I never caught on to the rap or country
craze.
Food: Steak, Broccoli, fancy cheeses, fancy breads, Dark Chocolate.
The six things I could never do without
I'd be rather upset losing six fingers.
I can't think of any material object unnecessary to daily
functioning that's soo important I can't live without.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I feel like I'm the only one not doing this grad school thing. Do I
have to?
On a typical Friday night I am
With co-workers playing card games, watching movies, getting dinner
at the pub, or simply being silly.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
One of my jeans has a hole forming around the left knee.
You should message me if
Sarcasm comes naturally for you.
