My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Classic film, museums, old brownstones, people watching, fine dining, good beer, or fine scotch can make a great day. Not all of them together. Or, perhaps all of them together?

I'm a bit of a nerd, I love ideas and really getting into things and I don't care that might be different from other people. I have a soft spot for T.S. Eliot, W.H. Auden, Hemingway, and Shakespeare. I'm a tenor and my favorite pieces to sing or listen to are choral works, especially 19th-early 20th century.

Since I moved to Greenpoint recently I have come to love Brooklyn, but I know Manhattan up and down. Originally from on Long Island, I lived in Europe for a few years. Fun fact: I lived in C.S. Lewis' house for a year when I lived in England. No joke. As a student I was able to become an estate caretaker part-time, and I also got to live there. I have pictures.

I worked for a while on a PhD in Philosophy, but have been also involved in technology since I was in sixth grade when I taught myself to program computers. I am now a software engineer at a major tech company in the city. And I still attend philosophy conferences for fun. (Why not?)

I'm looking to meet someone sassy and smart. I like having real conversations about interesting things, but I know how to have a lot of fun and I have a good sense of humor.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
My interests bridge technology and the humanities. In my daily work I work closely with artists and technologists to bring designs into a reality of products that can be used by real people. I've always been interested in media and how digital interaction can be humanized and made intuitive. I really enjoy what I do for a living so I'm pretty grateful to have that opportunity.

Being in technology I'm lucky to work in a really exciting field. I have a very good work-life balance and my work involves a lot of creativity. In my personal life I love music, art, and theater. In my spare time, I'm building a website that helps people connect by sharing quotations and ideas.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Music, computers, and finding just the right bar for a fun night out. People have been known to come to me when they need a new restaurant or bar to go to, hidden away in the depths of the Village or Brooklyn. I know a lot of places!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apparently I have very long eyelashes. Almost everyone who has known me says that to me somewhere along the line so it must be true. But I think that's funny.

You like city living. You're open minded to someone who is politically liberal, and for religious reasons (ask me). However you don't have to be either of these things.

I'd love to know your Myers-Briggs type! I'm kind of fascinated by it these days: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp#questionnaire. But who's to say what it means?
