I recently moved to Greenpoint and love Brooklyn and New York City. Originally grew up on Long Island, but I lived in Europe for a few years. Though I am now a software engineer at a major tech company in the city, I actually worked for a while on a PhD in Philosophy. I'm looking to meet someone sassy and smart, interested in doing fun things and living life. I love classic film, museums, walking in old neighborhoods, people watching in parks, fine dining, good beer and fine scotch. I love choral music and British literature 18th century forward. I have a soft spot for T.S. Eliot, W.H. Auden, Jane Austen.

I guess I'm lucky because I really love what I do for a living. I'm a software engineer and I work in a really exciting area. I love my job and I have a very good work-life balance. I'd love to eventually build something that really helps people connect, like a site for creative writers or a site for people looking to share ideas.

Apparently I have very long eyelashes. Almost everyone who has known me says that to me somewhere along the line so it must be true. But I think that's funny.
