I am easygoing, interesting, and happy.

My Self-Summary

This is the part where people normally say they're loud and outgoing, or very independent, or quiet and introverted. The truth is that I'm all of those things at different times. I'm equally at home out partying, traveling by myself, or sitting down to read a book or have a quiet chat with a friend. I'm all about living in the now.

OK that's not very helpful. Maybe you should read this other stuff!

What I’m doing with my life

Enjoying myself, which I plan to keep doing until I'm dead.

Right now for a living I play poker professionally (yes, it's possible, and yes I make good money, and no it isn't as glamorous as it might sound). I have a degree and a bunch of workforce experience in software development to go back to if/when the money dries up.

I'm also traveling - I've been to the US once for a month and a half and have had two trips to Europe of 6 months total. Asia is next on the agenda.

I’m really good at

I'm pretty good in the brains department. My conversation skills are good as well (and I have the hang of the listening part as well as the talking part).

I like to think I'm OK at most things. Or at least will give them a shot.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Authors - Hunter S Thompson, Philip K Dick, William Gibson. These days though I read mostly literature and nonfiction.

Films - The Big Lebowski, The City of Lost Children, Amelie, the original Star Wars trilogy, the LOTR trilogy, The Alien series, Memento, The Usual Suspects, Almost Famous... I tend to watch mostly comedy and scifi/fantasy, but always enjoy good drama or arthouse films when I get around to watching them.

Music - My collection is mostly a few tracks from hundreds of different artists, but here's some I have a lot of tracks from - The Smashing Pumpkins, Everything But The Girl, Manic Street Preachers, Ben Folds, Missy Higgins, A Perfect Circle, Rage Against The Machine. Also listen to a lot of dance music - house, trance, drum'n'bass, a bit of hard dance. Radio in the car is locked to Fresh FM.

Food - French, Italian, Thai, Indian... as long as it's good quality.

The six things I could never do without

My friends & family, girls, sports, the net, music, sunshine

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Anything I don't understand yet. Women, for instance :)

On a typical Friday night I am

Out with friends, drinking and chatting, or more often these days IN with friends, drinking and chatting (damn couples never want to go out).

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

As well as the stuff I listed under favourite music, my iPod also contains at least one track by Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson.

You should message me if

Woohoo, an easy one! If you'd like to know more!
