I am genuine, rational, and quiet by nature.

My Self-Summary

I'm really bad figuring out what to say about myself, since so many of the other sections pretty much tell you what you need to know about me. I'd love to meet someone who shares similar interests with me. I want someone who is caring, intelligent, open-minded, and having a sense of humor is a must.

What I’m doing with my life

I work as a math teacher at a small private school. It can be a frustrating job at times, yet I couldn't see myself doing anything else. For fun, I love anything that involves music, especially seeing local bands play. Aside from that, I also enjoy playing pool (I didn't say I was good, but I enjoy it), renting movies, hanging out with friends, wasting large amounts of time on the internet, and pondering the meaning of life. If I come up with any answers, I'll let you know.

I’m really good at

Teaching math, listening to people, knowing useless trivia about music,Overanalyzing anything and everything

The first things people usually notice about me

I don't know how many times complete strangers come up to me and say "Has anyone ever said you look like Donny Osmond?"

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

a. The Griffin and Sabine triology by Nick Bantock

b. The Breakfast Club, The Crow, American Beauty, Pulp Fiction, Once, all Monty Python films

c. Where do I begin? Too many to list, but here's a start:
--- Local bands---
Airline, THe BAcksliders, the cut*off, Deathray Davies, Dove Hunter, Iris Leu, Jonathan Tyler & Northern Lights, Macon Greyson, Menkena, The O's, Old 97's (my favorite band of all time!!!), Rahim Quazi, Salim Nourallah
--- National bands---
Tori Amos, The Beatles, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Nick Drake, Bob Dylan, Indigo Girls, INXS (Michael Hutchence era, of course), The Monkees, Pink Floyd, R.E.M., Nina Simone, U2, The Who, Wilco

I could go on and on and on, but I'll stop there for now.

d. Meat and potatoes

The six things I could never do without

1. Music
2. Good friends
3. Music
4. My cats
5. The internet
6. Did I mention music?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

The deeper meaning of life, whether or not true love exists, the existence of a higher power, and wondering how to Wang Chung.

On a typical Friday night I am

Either at home or at a bar seeing one of my many favorite local bands.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Isn't the definition of private meaning you don't want it shared to the public? OK, OK, I'll give you my deep dark secret. I bought Tiffany's CD back in 8th grade. And here's the really bad part: occasionally, I'll listen to it.

You should message me if

I sound interesting, or if you think I might be interesting, or you think you're interesting. Or if you know the meaning to life. I'd love to know that.
