My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a strong, funny, ambitious, kind, creative, intelligent, Christian man. My favorite thing is the world is to either hear or tell a good story, and to share a satisfying meal with friends.

I'm a transplant from New England, and every now and then I break out the Boston accent for fun, but California is fantastic. I think I might stay.

My faith in God is really important to me. It's the ground of who I am; but I am allergic to legalism. I would say my politics are evenly divided between the left and the right.

I'm well read, I like working out, and I enjoy a good pina colada every now & then. I'm loving the California sunshine, and my current field of study is very satisfying.

For starters, I'm looking for low-key, casual first dates (like coffee or lunch or something) to see if we click. Meeting in person is so much better than screening a bunch of profiles for that "perfect match." Ultimately looking for an LTR and marriage.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm currently a full time student working on an animation degree. I just finished my first short film, and I'll be graduating in May. I'm really excited about the future!

This is my second career path. I have an M Div, and was pursuing ministerial jobs for a long time, but eventually felt that God wanted me to be faithful with my artistic skills as well.

I would eventually like to have my own studio, and somehow integrate my faith and animation skills.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Things involving the intellect and/or the arts... I'm not so good with mechanical-type tasks.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile. I'm usually a pretty happy guy. I also get comments on my arms/shoulders, to be honest.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: The Bible, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Animal Farm, The Wizard of Oz, & anything by CS Lewis and Lloyd Alexander.

Theological books: A Celebration of Discipline (by Richard Foster), Surprised by the Voice of God (by Jack Deere).

Movies: The Count of Monte Cristo, Forest Gump, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Princess Bride, the original Star Wars Trilogy, The Secret of Kells, Kung Fu Panda, classic Disney films.

TV Shows: Gotham, Daredevil, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Dr Who, and in the past: Lost.

Music: Contemporary, Pop, Rock, Alternative, Celtic, Christian, and even Country.

Food: Everything is good in SF! But my favorites are mexican, italian, classic american diner, indian, authentic chinese, sushi, & pad thai. And oh, yeah---I love sandwiches.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Honestly, I think we are all far stronger than we realize. I can do without a lot of things.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Wealth inequality. If you have never been poor in your life, or if you think that people are only poor as a result of their own bad life choices or lack of ambition, then you and I will have little in common.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
If I'm being honest, it's usually just Netflix and a glass of wine. I am often tired by the end of the week, and I usually let Friday nights be quiet, so that I have energy to go out on Saturday night.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
Okay, first, the dream scenario:

If you like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain; if you keep in reasonably good shape, and are interested in the way the world works; if you are young enough to have kids, and old enough to know that you can't wait forever on this matter; if you have a heart that burns against social injustice and you have compassion for people from all different walks of life; if you love sci-fi, fairy tales, and/or comic books (Whovians to the front of the line please!); and if you have a strong faith in the One who wrote (and is still writing) the greatest story of all time---PLEASE send me a message! I have been waiting for you for such a long time!

But life is full of surprises isn't it? Sometimes what we think we want isn't what we really after all. So, let me paint things with a broader brush for a moment and boil this down to non-negotiables:

You have a solid Christian faith, a good sense of humor, you are not legalistic, are still in reasonably good shape, and you love good storytelling.
