I am creative, optimistic, and a dreamer.
My Self-Summary
I'm a "the glass is half full" type of person and always think that
the best case scenario will actually come true, just like in the
movies (and movies never lie). I love the arts – I'm a graphic
designer, I love drawing, sewing, doing hands-on projects, and I
was a dancer for fifteen years until I went to college and became
too busy. I wish I had musical talent and could sing or play the
piano or guitar, but unfortunately my singing is questionable at
best. Doesn't stop me from belting out a few songs at karaoke,
though. Anyone know of a good karaoke place? Suggestions are
welcome.
I'm a little concerned about the tests that I've taken on here. The
priss as my dating profile? And I'm 70% nerd? I'm not sure which is
worse.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm the graphic designer at the Please Touch Museum. My job rocks,
I can spend eight hours a day drawing and illustrating materials
for the museum. I'm also in charge of all the photography and web
design for the museum so it keeps me pretty busy.
I’m really good at
the sense-o-sketches in Cranium. Walking fast. Identifying fonts. I
also bake a mean cheesecake.
The first things people usually notice about me
is my height. I'm 5'10". For real. It doesn't stop me from wearing
heels though, it just lets me use more people as arm rests when I
get tired.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: Wuthering Heights, Great Gatsby, Bill Bryson's books,
totally girly books, biographies, non-fiction...pretty much
anything.
Music: Jacks Mannequin and Something Corporate, Belle and
Sebastian, Third Eye Blind, Justin Timberlake, Rilo Kiley,
Dashboard Confessional (the old acoustic stuff). My music is all
over the place. my ipod can go from Hanson to DMX to the Beatles
when it's on shuffle.
Movie: too embarrassing to tell total strangers.
Tv shows: How I Met Your Mother, So You Think You Can Dance, 30
Rock, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Project Runway
Foods: Coffee. Chocolate. Thai food. Margaritas. Trader Joe's
Tomato and Basil Hummus
The six things I could never do without
a sketchbook. the beach. chocolate. my friends & family.
dancing. my ipod (could never make it through a workout without
it).
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out with friends, either out at a bar somewhere or at
someones house. More often than not, that's at Sugar Moms or
another equally classy establishment, I'm not picky. Hopefully
ending the night somewhere with dancing and forcing friends to
shake it on the dance floor at least a little bit.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I was recently in an altercation with a treadmill. The treadmill
won but I'll be back for revenge when it least expects it. This
isn't necessarily a private thing to admit, but definitely one of
the more embarrassing things to happen to me in the last five
years.
