My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I laugh at the worst jokes, have some sort of knowledge about a lot of things (jack of all trades master of none comes to mind), and stick to my convictions. I love sitting around with friends just talking about life drinking a few beers. Lately I have been trying to broaden my horizons, joined a softball team, looking into going camping and trying to pull together a road trip. Apparently I have a tendency to talk about serious things. I guess I don't do chit-chat well. I seem to be committing to a lot these days. Always want to do everything.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I wonder if this question has caused any existential crises. I currently work at small systems furniture installation company as a lead tech. I honestly enjoy a hard days work where you can see the value of your sweat and blood. But I'm always looking to the future and what I might want to do for the rest of my life.
Debating if I want to go back to school or not. Always thought I'd be a teacher so I guess I am still considering that or maybe going in to Law.
When I'm not working I am either out with friends golfing, seeing movies, playing softball, or with my family.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Useless knowledge. I have a knack for remembering things that don't matter. This extends to the borders of useful knowledge too, I just have a real skill when it comes to knowing things no one should care about.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I wish it was my piercing blue eyes but probably that I look like a lumberjack.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Some of my favorite authors are Vonnegut (specifically Cat's Cradle), Tolkein (I have read The Hobbit a ridiculous number of times since my Grandfather read it to me as a child), Jordan, and Twain.

Groundhog's Day is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. Though I will pretty much watch anything some of my other favorites are The Sting, Mallrats, His Girl Friday, Singing in the Rain, Serenity, and Clue. I also love comic book movies, fantasy, sci-fi, action, really everything but horror.

I really like Castle, Community, Psych, Suits, Bones, New Girl, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Archer, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Modern Family. Though when I am bored I will watch anything. Or at least leave it on when I do other things.

I think most people love music so I wouldn't say I love it more than anyone else but it is extremely important to me. I listen to at least something from every genre. My top bands are The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Sublime, and Chiddy Bang. These are just some of the bands I like.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Beyond the sort of normal stuff like family, friends, music, etc. I would have to say my top six things are:
1. That feeling when you wake up early on a day off to realize you can just go back to sleep.
2. Driving. Road trips with the window down music blaring and friends surrounding you.
3. Good conversation. About nothing or everything. I love just hanging around talking about things I have studied my whole life or have never heard of.
4. A pair of dress socks I have that feature Blue Whales. They are my favorite socks. Just having a favorite something I think is important.
5. People that will push me to be a better person. Either by challenging me to think differently or accepting me for who I am.
6. Weightlifting. Sort of a weird thing but there is something so great about just you pushing yourself for yourself. No competition with others being fueled by ego. Just you versus an immovable object. Grounds me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
These days I'm playing softball. Got involved with a friend's work. All in all not a bad deal we usually grab some food grab some beers. Works out great. Otherwise I am trying to catch a movie, grab drinks, maybe a hockey game or baseball game depending on the season. Usually not home but every now and then you need to stay in to recharge the batteries.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't sing. At all. But I'll be damned if that doesn't stop me from trying all the time.
