My self-summary
Most of my friends would say I come on strong, but I think I just find it easy being comfortable around people. I have a semi-insatiable appetite for learning and laughter. I've been told I am one of the easiest people to get laughing at something (with a special place in my heart for really bad puns). These days I am really trying to get into more stuff. I for some reason have a huge desire to go camping, or fishing. Maybe it came with the beard.
What I’m doing with my life
I wonder if this question has caused any existential crises. I mean what I am up to these days in a very basic sense is trying to enjoy life. Hanging out with my friends, going to Ducks games, Angels games, drinking occasionally, playing guitar very little but sometimes. But in the grander scheme I am plotting my next move. Always debating if I want more school or am fine with where I am at. Love the idea of Law but not necessarily wanting to be a lawyer. I guess I have some stuff to figure out but I'm pretty happy where I am as well. Lately my big desire is a road trip across the states. Trying to convince people to go is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. Also lately trying to get my shit together. Hitting the gym more, trying to be a better person today than I was yesterday, all that jazz.
I’m really good at
Useless trivia. I have a knack for remembering things that don't matter. Some recent events have forced me to also say I am great at being clumsy/ injuring myself.

Apparently in addition to just have a lot of useless trivia I tend to annoy people (mostly my brother) with wanting to discuss random things that pop in my head.
The first things people usually notice about me
I wish it was my piercing blue eyes but probably that I look like a lumberjack.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Some of my favorite authors are Vonnegut (specifically Cat's Cradle), Tolkein (I have read The Hobbit a ridiculous number of times since my Grandfather read it to me as a child), Jordan, and Twain.

Groundhog's Day is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. Though I will pretty much watch anything some of my other favorites are The Sting, Mallrats, His Girl Friday, Singing in the Rain, Serenity, and Clue. I also love comic book movies, fantasy, sci-fi, action, really everything but horror.

I really like Castle, Community, Psych, Suits, Bones, New Girl, How I Met Your Mother, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Archer, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Modern Family. Though when I am bored I will watch anything. Or at least leave it on when I do other things.

I think most people love music so I wouldn't say I love it more than anyone else but it is extremely important to me. I listen to at least something from every genre. My top bands are The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Sublime, and Chiddy Bang. These are just some of the bands I like.
The six things I could never do without
1. Cell phone- As much as it pains me to say cell phones are so unbelievably useful. Not even for the phone part. Music, internet, camera etc rolled into one. I'm sure I'd be fine without it but dang is it convenient.
2. Music- I love music. I'm sure that is boring and everyone loves music but I don't even want to imagine a world without music.
3. Family/Friends - Again pretty basic selection. My niece holds a special place in my heart.
4. Dishes- I don't know if it was from my time working in a restaurant or what but doing dishes is so relaxing. Just putting your mind to a simple task.
5. Guitar- I'm not good, I can barely play a few songs but since I was a little kid I have been enamored with playing music and musical instruments.
6. Lazy days with no obligations. Just time to sit and enjoy life.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I tend to think about whatever randomly pops into my head. If I am bored I sometimes replay movies I like in my head. Other than that it could be anything from arguing in my head over gun rights to what would have happened in my favorite shows that got cancelled. I also tend to get a little obsessive over songs every now and then. Right now I am into some Childish Gambino and some really bad 80's "rock". I also debate whether to shave my beard a lot. Got an opinion and want to weigh in hit me up.
On a typical Friday night I am
Usually I am trying to get out on Friday nights. Meeting up with some friends for dinner/ drinks, trying to catch a hockey or ball game, heading up to Hollywood to visit a friend, or just kicking back with a few beers and buds. I guess I joined a softball league with a friend so I will be playing softball Friday nights. I'm hoping it is sort of a drink and play league.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I listen to a somewhat embarrassing amount of top 40 music. My excuse is I drive a lot and it breaks up what I'm used to. That is a good reason right? ...right?
