I've been waiting quite a while to start dating again, just sort of hoping the perfect girl would fall into my lap (the last one did). After a few years I'm beginning to think I might have to try a little harder. I like to read a lot, and keep up with world events. I love to snowboard and bike and just can't get enough of the outdoors in general. I also have an obsession with cats. They just smell so damn good.

books: Steinbeck for sure, John Irving, Jack Kerouac, Robertson Davies, The adventures of Huck Finn, Nick Hornby, a heeping handful from the top 100 (modern library), Deep Economy, Cradle to Cradle, sooo many books, I've barely touched the surface. Also anything by Noam Chompsky, or George Monbiot (monbiot.com, check it, such a good read)

movies: City of God, the Graduate, A river runs through it, Rushmore, Lost in translation (or anything with Bill Murray),documentaries, Zeitgeist, Good Fellas, Pulp Fiction, american beauty, american history x, the departed, eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, pan's labrynth, million dollar baby, into the wild, so many more.

T.V.: Arrested Development, Seinfeld, The Office (British), Brotherhood, The Sops, Weeds, PBS, National Geographic channel.

MUSIC: Elliott Smith, Paul Simon (Simon&Garfunkel), The Shins, RHCP, Neil Young, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, mostly old rock and some alternative. Nick Drake, Nirvana, The Beatles, Ben Harper, CCR, DALA, Jets To Brazil, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Eddie Vedder, The Rolling Stones, some moby, pretty much can't stand "techno" music i.e. artificial instrument sounds, no vocals, etc. Oh yeah and just started listening to some Feist.

Thai food rules me along with Vietnemese. Italian and greek always good especially spinach & mushroom lasagna with lots of Ricotta!!!! And how could I forget Indian food!!!!

If this profile doesn't make me sound fun, I did a bad job- I'm fun fun fun, just not in the headgames, macho, clubbin'/fake bullshit kinda way, More in the jump off a cliff into water/run down a mountain/play with kittens/pick berries & bake a pie sort of fun. If that makes sense......Even though I don't really like bars (hellll no to clubs) I do like to drink and get crazy sometimes, but house/outdoor parties are sooo much better.
