My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hi, I'm Chris, and I'm not your average guy. I would describe myself as an active geek- I enjoy playing tennis and hiking just as much as I like playing video games and writing software. I also have a great sense of humor, and really value someone who doesn’t take themselves too seriously and can engage in a little sarcastic banter. I *will* make a few jokes at your expense, and I hope you'll do the same in return. But I usually make fun of myself first.

As far as my geeky side, I like gaming in general, online shooters, strategy games, card games, board games…you name it, I’ll play it. Most other geek qualities apply too - I love to learn new things, I like any show/movie with the word "Star" in it, and I'm one of the nicest, most caring people you'll ever meet. However, my eyes work without prosthetics, I rather enjoy sunshine, and I really don't mind conversation. Everybody has their faults, I suppose.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am a software engineer by day, a game player and TV watcher by night, and a tennis enthusiast on the weekends. Pretty simple.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I pick things up very quickly, and I love to figure things out and see how things work. I'm also pretty good at making fun of myself. I guess you could say that I'm really good at admitting my mistakes (and they happen pretty often) in a humorous way. Let's just say I never leave without my GPS. And even so, I've gotten it to shout "Impossible!" at me. Most people couldn't do that if they tried.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Why don't you message me and find out for yourself?

Fine, I'll give a real answer. I'd say my wit. I have a very "british" sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm mostly into comedy, and educational shows, with a little drama on the side, and I have too many favorites. There's South Park, TDS/TCR, QI, Would I Lie to You, Top Gear (UK), Through the Wormhole, Game of Thrones, Homeland, Dexter, and probably a few others.

Movies - LoTR, V for Vendetta, Office Space, The Princess Bride, and anything with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. delicious! I'm not the most adventurous when it comes to food, but I'm not super picky either. Some of my favorite non-american "genres" are italian, mexican and japanese.

I don't have a lot of time to read, normally. I mostly read news stories and current events articles when I can. I know you're supposed to say that you're an avid reader and list a bunch of titles, but I'd just be being dishonest.

Instead, how about board games? Some of my favorites are Bang!, Carcassonne, Shadow Hunters, Dominion, and Telestrations.

Music - mostly classic rock. They're classics for a reason, obviously! But my favorite band is Dream Theater, which isn't really classic rock, but whatever, that's the way it is!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My computer
My tennis racquet
A good night's sleep
Friends to play with
A good job to support everything I like to do
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make or do things better. I'm never completely satisfied with how things are, so I'm always looking for ways to improve myself and the world around me. A lot of people probably say that, but making progress and improving in everything I do is something I'm really passionate about.

Wow, that's boring. Let's try that again...

Which TED talk to watch next, what the hell is going wrong with my tennis serve, how to make that algorithm run a tad faster, how awesome the cosmos is, what strategy to try the next time I play a game, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Honestly? Lately I've been doing board game nights with my friends. Before that it was online games. Yeah, I'm a geek. Come at me bro.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I like to crank up the tunes and sing along really loudly whenever I'm driving somewhere. I think I'm pretty good, but I'm too embarassed to do it in front of other people.

I’m basically looking for someone who embraces her geekiness but also likes to have fun staying active. A great sense of humor is important, as well as honesty and sharing the same interests. I’m pretty happy with where I am in my life right now, and would like to find the right girl to share that with.
