I'm a man of many talents and abilities, and those that I don't have, I wouldn't mind learning more about. I can have fun doing just about anything, as long as I have good company to have it with. My friends think of me as smart and unique, with a sarcarstic and sometimes raunchy sense or humor. I love good people and good times, sometimes crazy and wild, other times relaxed and mellow. I'm also happy with a quiet evening at home or a relaxed setting with a couple of friends. I'm pretty easy-going.
My general life is work and my relationship with my daughters. Both require a lot of time and attention, but I do enjoy making time to have fun and appreciate the time with others. I try to ballance my time, since I cannot be a custodial parent. My life exists in duality; part family man and part single working bachelor. I have had many life adventures and I am interested in having more. I'm looking for new friends and possible new romances. I am generally a one woman man and don't like wasting mass amounts of time and efforts in casual dating... It's just finding that one woman. Ideally, I would like to settle down, but I've never been married. Women can be complicated creatures, but so can I, so I'm very understanding and intuitive. I'm down to earth, despite my sometimes crazy past. Don't let me intimidate you... I'm probably one of the easiest people to talk to. I don't believe in passing immediate judgement, nor do I fault people for making mistakes in their lives. I believe that is why people find it so easy to confide in me. Anyway, I like to live my life knowing what I'm capable of and what I'm able to experience. Life becomes boring, if you are not willing to live, so I say do it!

I'm a working man, earning a living and taking care of my kids, working through the inevitable speed bumps that life offers us and moving on.

I'm really good at working with my hands. I like making things and figuring out how things work. I dabble in lots of hobbies and enjoy spending time doing things that make me use my brain and abilities.

The first things that people usually notice about me are that I'm really tall, pretty smart and talkative about whatever comes to conversation.

My favorite book series of all time is J.R.R. Tolkein's "The Lord of the Rings"
I love the multi-layered plotlines and references to old folklore from various cultures and the hardships of war and loss. The languages and lore created within this storyline are amazing and intricate. I also greatly enjoy just about any book enlightening the topic of ancient history and the dawn of mankind. I studied to be an archaeologist and anthropologist, so I find this info facinating.

I really don't have a favorite movie. I'll pretty much watch anything, as long as it has a decent plotline or makes me laugh. I like watching things that people around me like watching also, because it opens up avenues of conversation.

I don't watch too much tv, but I do enjoy watching "The Big Bang Theory" when I happen upon it. I enjoy the nerdy wit, and the neighbor girl is not too shabby either.
Occasionally I'll catch learning programs or watch cartoons with the kids. (somethimes by myself... I'm a kid a heart)

1. Intelligent and kind friends and family.
2. The ability to learn new things.
3. The ability and availabilty to do fun and interesting things.
4. Really good food.
5. Anything that sparks my imagination.
6. A world populated with the people I love and care about.

These are the things that I don't want to live without. Other things are easily replaceable.

Unfortunately, I spend a lot of time thinking about work and responsibilities, but I do spend a lot of time thinking about ways to ballance that out.
I sometimes wonder what my life would have been like, if I had followed through with a career in art, continued in my learning and playing as a guitarist in a thrash-metal band, or if I had continued my schooling in forensic/physical anthropology and archaeology.
I am and have been a thinker and a daydreamer. Creativity, learning and experiences drive me, as do passion, companionship and intimacy. It is sometimes difficult for me to find a match, because it requires that I find somone as multi-faceted as I am, while at the same time being easy-going, compassionate and interactive. I spend a lot of time wondering about who that woman might be... ;)

Also, please don't be offended if I hesitate when I see "God" at the top of the list of things you could never do without. Although I am not atheistic, I have had trouble with people claiming this. It's a double-edged sword, and I am never quite sure which side I'm getting when someone emphasizes this. I've dealt with many extremists in my time, and I don't react well with people who close their minds and decidedly have tunnel vision.

On a typical friday night, I'm trying to catch up with friends and family, and looking forward to the weekend.

I'm not sure what the most private thing I'm willing to admit would be. I'm pretty open about just about everything. I don't like secrets or dishonesty, so I feel compelled to talk freely, unless of course, it would hurt someone needlessly.
