My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Just a decent, interesting guy with a pretty good bit to offer looking for someone solid and respectable with half a head on his shoulders.

That said, I'm in kind of a transition period right now. If you want someone who has it all together, run screaming away from me haha...

But I've got big goals and the capacity and drive to achieve them, and I'd love to meet somebody just as lost and determined and crazy to enjoy the ride with.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
For now, writing my way back into my Charleston roots after spending a third of my life running away. I'm always stuck between craving travel and stability.

I write opinion for my hometown newspaper, but I also want to start a brewery in Bogota, Colombia and run a hostel in Cartagena.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Camping/Hiking/Surviving without access to the internet, showers etc.
Traveling and not always looking like an idiot (my fannypack is tasteful and I only sometimes wear socks with flip-flops)
Speaking Spanish (and I'd love to learn French, Portuguese, Arabic and some Chinese)
Remembering useless facts and information
Cuddling (I'm a pretty manly man (whatever that means) in public, but if you can't stand cuddling a) you're crazy and b) we won't make it far in a relationship)
Going out and having a really freaking good time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Not sure. Mainly because that's an awkward conversation topic if you just met somebody.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
All of these questions make me cringe. I have a pathological inability to pick a "favorite" anything.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) My friends and family (Sure, it's cliche - and they're people, not things - but this should pretty much apply to every sane person)
2) Touch/Connection/Human Warmth
3) New experiences or learning about new people, cultures and places.
4) Mexican, Chinese and Southern Foods and Sushi (I mean, obviously I would live... but if I can't find these things in the place that I live, I will at least need to be able to find the ingredients to make them myself)
5) Flip-flops and shorts (I've got nice legs. I like to share them)
6) The water (I've lived at 9,000 feet, I've lived in the desert... I need water)

P.S. Who puts iPhone or the Internet here? You would really DIE without those things?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Pretty literally anything and everything. If something sparks my interest, I might spend the next hour, day or year researching it, pondering it etc.

Recent topics include obscure locales on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list, the plausibility of traveling faster than the speed of light and how people first decided to eat foods that look gross.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
What's a typical Friday night? Is there such a thing? But hopefully I'm doing something sociable and it most likely will involve beer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
If I trust you, I'll tell you whatever deep, dark secret you want. I'm not sure there's anything that juicy to tell though haha...

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're up for a partner in life's uncertainties and someone to come along for the ride. Just please say something more than "Hi, how are you?" unless you want a really honest answer. Also, if we have a really high "enemy" rating haha...
