My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a scientist living in Reading, having graduated in physics in 2004. People often say to me that physics is a really hard subject, but I find writing to be extremely difficult, so I guess it depends. If my profile sounds like a bit like science report, now you know why. :)

I'm a bit of a geek really, I enjoy Japanese animation (anime) and video games, especially Rock Band. I also have more computers than are strictly necessary, but I try not to let them take over my life.

I also enjoy cycling, I cycle the 10 miles to work and back every day (uphill both ways, even in the snow!) and sometimes do charity events. I'd love go on a cycling holiday in Europe, maybe see some of the countryside while stopping in little cafes along the way...

I'm a really easy-going sort of person, I don't see the point in worrying about things I can't change. I very rarely get angry, annoyed, scared, offended or embarrassed!

I am kind, mischievous, and laid back
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I currently work as a scientist`i spending most of my days doing computer simulations. I keep my work and home life totally separated, I don't even think about work until I am sat at my desk.

I have my own flat near to Reading town centre, which I love because it means there are even less reasons for me to drive!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a petty good cyclist, although I don't race. I mostly enjoy cycling because I like going places, I'm not really all that competitive. I occasionally cycle to Oxford or London just to see if I can.

I'm good at the whole maths/physics/science thing. It is my job after all! Actually the same thing goes for computers. I can also program a little, currently learning when I have the time.

I can cook as well, I am particularly proud of my risottos and cheesecakes. I like cooking many styles, Asian food is always a favourite as are Italian or French dishes. Recently I have taken up baking as well, scones, biscuits, cookies and cinnamon swirls are all very tasty (although not exactly healthy!)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hm, tough question. Hopefully it is my mischievous smile!

I don't read all that much fiction, apart from the latest Terry Pratchett books I get for Christmas every year. Of those I think Small Gods was my favourite. I can however spend hours on Wikipedia reading up on various obscure historical events.

I'm quite picky about films, most of the films I see in the cinema I don't enjoy. However I do like the Shawshank Redemption, Godfather, anything with really interesting characters in. I also like Ghibli films and I have to admit there is a soft spot in my heart for the Back to the Future trilogy.

I don't really listen to much music, anything with guitars in is pretty okay. I'm not a huge fan of rap or hip-hop, but if it's got a catchy beat and you can dance to it it's not all bad. I have recently become interested in classic 70's rock (Boston, Journey, Fleetwood Mac) which represents my first real musical interest in 20 years!

As for food, I'll eat anything as long as it is good. I do particularly like Italian and Asian dishes though. Clearly the ultimate meal would be some kind of curry pizza with noodles...
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Hm, this is a tough one. On the one hand I am not very materialistic and could quite easily live without pretty much anything, on the other hand there are things I like:

Good food
Internet
Bicycle
Friends
Sunshine
Hats
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Probably at home watching TV or with friends laughing over pint or two.

I don't really like going out to clubs much, a nice warm pub and good conversation with friends is more my style. Lately I have spent a fair amount of time cooking for people as well.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
20 years later I still want to grow up to be a Ghostbuster. Teehee!
