My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
So…it’s way past time for a full re-write of my profile. 2013 has been a particularly momentous year for me. I’ve changed jobs, become more active, and recalibrated my life. If you're not having fun, then it's time for a change.

I’m still smart, funny, and kind, but I’m a bit more vibrant, warm, and open with my quirkiness. Over the past ten years, I have overeducated myself (BS, BM, MA, MBA) and lived in 6 states, but I plan to stay in Boston for a while. This year has solidified my commitment to personal growth of all kinds. I’m singing again, doing yoga, dancing for fun, cooking for pleasure, and reading always. My fascination with dichotomies continues, whether it’s the sacred and the profane (attending high mass before a burlesque show) or the mundane and the quirky (researching audit classes for CPA training while watching the video for Technologic). Definitely multifaceted and looking for the same.

Like most of the people here, I’m hoping to meet some people and see where things go. Long-term relationships come from short-term relationships which can only be founded on mutual connection and interest. If you think we could have a good time at the museum, the opera, the arboretum, a movie, or a coffee shop, drop me a line or two to start the conversation.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
For my day job, I am working in university administration. In the evenings, I sing with a chorus (also starting to do admin for them), do yoga, hang out with friends, and family. Future fun plans include a trip to Kripalu, Restaurant Week, Cards against Humanity, lectures at the MFA, and whatever strikes my fancy.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile, my eyes, or maybe that I'm plump? Honestly, no one's really said.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Food: I'll happily eat most food (excepting an irrational dislike of fungus), and love ethnic food of all kinds including Vietnamese, Indian, Thai, Ethopian, Greek. I'm slightly sensitive to wheat, so I'm mostly gluten free, but haven't let that stop my gustatory enjoyment.

Authors: My tastes have been divergent lately with Pema Chodron, Colm Toibin, and Anne Bishop. I also have an enduring enjoyment of Chuck Palahniuk, Neil Gaiman, Jim Butcher, Jane Austen, EM Forester, William Gibson, Mary Roach, Kim Harrison. Currently, I'm reading "The Coming Plague" ~ it's a real life horror story based in epidemiology.

Movies: I'm happy to watch almost anything with a plot and somethings without. Ex. Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Love Actually, Inception, The Cell, Orgazmo, Brick, District 9, When Harry Met Sally, The Thomas Crown Affair, Constantine, Ocean's 11, Secretary, Persuasion.

Shows: I don't have TV, so most of these are old or something that was recommended to me. Ex. Pushing Daises, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, South Park, The Daily Show, The Wire, Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.

Music: 90's rock, alternative, classical, opera, art song, folk. I've been loving the alternative female rockers recently like Fiona Apple, Amanda F*ing Palmer, and Janelle Monae.

Due to a neighbor with an excessively large CB antennna, I no longer listen to the radio. I miss NPR like a lone sock misses it's mate.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well, we can all do without many things, but I would be unhappy without:
my friends
my cat
a kitchen
books
my family
the internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Many, many things. I'm a ponderer and feel that most random questions are worth some consideration.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends, doing yoga or cooking at home. It all depends on my mood.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I enjoy Ke$ha's music and videos. They're awful, I know it, but....I just do.

If you want a trip to the surreal world, watch her video for C'mon. I dare you. ;)
