My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Wilkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome!

I'm a transplant to Boston by way of New York, California, Ohio, and a couple of other places. I have a few degrees, the most recent being a MBA, and am working in university administration while considering a return to arts administration or striking out for unknown territory. My friends recently dubbed me smart, classy, and twisty, though I'd add funny and kind to the mix. Definitely multifaceted/quirky and looking for the same.

Like most OKCupidians, I’m hoping to meet some people and see where things go. More specifically, I'm looking for a long-term relationship based on love, trust, and mutual interests. I'm much more interested in the quality of the relationship, than any kind of practical timeline. If you think we could have a good time at the museum, the arboretum, a movie, or a coffee shop, drop me a line or two to start the conversation.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
By day, I work in university administration. By night, I fight for justice in spandex. Oh wait, wrong story :)

In my free time, I sing, do yoga, dance, meet friends, cook, read, watch movies, and recently started parkour. In my life, I want to find more joy and be true to myself. I have a rather idealistic belief in the importance of personal growth as well as social justice to change the world.

Practically, I'm looking forward to summer and weekend trips to the Cape, Newport, Ohio, and Montreal (one of these things is not like the other) as well as a possible longer trip to North Carolina.
The first things people usually notice about me

My smile, my eyes, or maybe that I'm plump?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Food: I'll happily eat most food (excepting an irrational dislike of fungus), and love ethnic food of all kinds including Vietnamese, Indian, Thai, Ethopian, Greek. I'm slightly sensitive to wheat, so I'm mostly gluten free, but haven't let that stop my gustatory enjoyment. *I still enjoy most food, but have gone Paleo, so am a bit more limited in my choices.

Authors: My tastes continue to cover somewhat trashy fiction (Anne Bishop) and interesting nonfiction (Daring Greatly, Brene Brown). I also have an enduring enjoyment of Chuck Palahniuk, Neil Gaiman, Jim Butcher, Jane Austen, EM Forester, William Gibson, Mary Roach, Kim Harrison.

Movies: I'm happy to watch almost anything with a plot and somethings without. Ex. Fight Club, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Inception, The Cell, Orgazmo, Brick, District 9, When Harry Met Sally, The Thomas Crown Affair, Constantine, Ocean's 11, Secretary, Persuasion.

Every holiday season, I watch three things: Love Actually, White Christmas, and South Park's Woodland Critter Christmas. This, I think, says a great deal about me.

Shows: I don't have TV, so most of these are old or something that was recommended to me. Ex. Pushing Daises, Firefly, Battlestar Galactica, South Park, The Daily Show, The Wire, Samurai Champloo, Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.

Music: 90's rock, alternative, classical, opera, art song, folk. I've been loving the alternative female rockers recently like Fiona Apple, Amanda F*ing Palmer, and Janelle Monae. *I bought a Celtic harp and am learning to play by recreating NIN songs on the Closer and Right Where It Belongs.

Due to a neighbor with an excessively large CB antennna, I no longer listen to the radio. Despite listening to podcasts, I still miss NPR like a lone sock misses it's mate.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well, we can all do without many things, but I would be unhappy without:
my friends
my cat
a kitchen
my family
the internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Many, many things. I'm a ponderer and feel that most random questions are worth some consideration.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends, doing yoga or cooking at home. It all depends on my mood.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I enjoy Ke$ha's music and videos. They're awful, I know it, but....I just do.

If you want a trip to the surreal world, watch her video for C'mon. I dare you. ;)
