Interning in Washington, DC, as I am halfway to completing a Master's in Public Policy from the University of Kentucky. I just got into town on May 30. I am looking for someone to keep me company when I am not working, who is either also new in town and wants to explore with me, or has been here for a while and wants to show me around.

Hopefully after reading my profile, you will agree that I am good at writing. Good enough for you to want to learn what else I'm good at.

I recently read that the first thing people notice about someone else is that person's gender, followed by the person's race. So I'll go with that. A man who is black.

What do they notice after that? Well what did you notice?

My favorite books are usually anything having to do with politics or society.

I prefer movies that are funny, I'd rather laugh than anything. The movie One Hour Photo, where Robin Williams, a man who usually plays some kind of clown, plays a psycho, pretty much sent me running to comedies from now on.

I prefer music without lyrics, and played by a full band or orchestra, as I have started to practice active listening, and can pick out each instrument and focus on that instrument's part, regardless of whether it is the main melody.

I like different kinds of food. I love barbecue and pizza and all that stuff. I am also trying to learn how to cook. Maybe when I am older and financially secure, I will become a chef and open a restaurant.

How nice it is to finally be in a city where people don't judge you if you don't have a car. In other parts of the country, women judge your worth as a man on whether or not you drive. In DC, it seems smarter not to drive, so I get to be judged as a person, not as a motorist.

I am in town for two months. The last thing I want my Friday nights, or any other nights to be, is typical. The times when I am not at work are going to be like a vacation. I am in a huge city. I want to explore. I want you to explore with me.

I know where to touch on a woman's body to make her feel like I am touching her "down there." And I saw a show on PBS that helped me understand the science behind why it feels like that.
